Why so much talk about just one Orc? Is he as good as other hero Orc that people talk about Garrosh?

Thrall is the original leader of the horde who stepped down to help save the entire world. The hero we need but do not deserve

He is a boring orc, but people like static and boring characters

Thrall is a shaman and the founder of what we currently call the Horde. Previous Hordes were almost all Orcs and were basically Legion puppets under the Blood Curse, but after they were defeated Thrall led his people to Kalimdor to be free of both demonic influence and the tyranny of human camps.
He also stepped down during the Cataclysm to help heal the world as the most powerful Shaman of all time, but during Legion he apparently lost his powers and has mostly been missing from the story since.

He was the warchief of the horde.

After the original orcish horde was thoroughly defeated in the events of warcraft 2 the remaining orcs were put in internment camps. Thrall meanwhile was raised from infancy to be a gladiator. He eventually escaped with the help of a human woman (whose name escapes me at the moment) and proceeded to lead raids to liberate the orcs from the camps. He fought alongside Orgrim Doomhammer (who was still regarded as warchief at the time). When Doomhammer died he passed the title on to Thrall.

Then through the events of warcraft 3, Thrall led the horde to kalimdor, allied with the darkspear trolls and the tauren, established orgrimmar, and so on and so forth.

Essentially he’s regarded as the founder of the modern horde. Returning the orcs to their honorable, shamanistic roots.

Thrall is the one who made Orgrimmar a thing. He saved the Tauren from Centuar and Darkspear from Murlocs(if I recall, bit rusty on lore that long ago) during Warcraft 3. He was the leader of the Horde from Vanilla through Cataclysm but had sort’ve put his Warchief duties aside to take the role of Earthwarder more or less to help save Azeroth from Deathwing with the help of the other Dragon Aspects. And to help heal Azeroth after all the destruction Deathwing had caused. He made Garrosh Warchief but Garrosh went all power trippy and drank old god koolaid so he had to be put down.

Thrall was the strongest shaman on Azeroth and wielded Doomhammer but during WoD after he defeated Garrosh with the help of the Elements they abandoned him, fast forward to Legion and he gives the player(if enhancement shaman) Doomhammer and kinda goes MIA.

If you talk to the Horde Leaders after the cut-scene where Baine is imprisoned, Rexxar says he has to tell someone. Naturally it’s Thrall given their History(Rexxar helped Thrall make Orgrimmar a reality). Given the PTR update to how he looks, it appears as though hes had to make use of the physical strength of orcs, given how bulky he is. That points to the elements still not having anything to do with him. Of course that’s just speculation at this point.

TLDR: Original Horde Warchief. Founded Orgrimmar. Once was strongest shaman. Wasn’t afraid to fight but like Anduin, he wanted peace.

He use to be an honorable Orc. Now seems reduced to a murderous sneak thief in the night. Who talks about honor, but does dishonorable acts.

He green lit her entry into the horde .

He made green hitler warchief . Then made Voljin warchief who then appointed Syl.

Most of horde issues can be traced back to Thrall in the first place .

Why is he even back … he abandoned the horde in the first place . If he come back he should become warchief not appoint another fool .

Thrall was a name given to him by Aedelas Blackmoore when he was a slave and gladiator for Aedelas.
His real birthname is Go’el and he is the son of Durotan

Thrall has worn many titles in his lifetime: Slave, Gladiator, Shaman, Chieftain of the Frostwolf Clan, and, Warchief of the Horde.

He’s a pretty cool character, but gets a lot of flak because in the Cataclysm expansion, he gave a lot of people a mary sue-ish impression.

Before and after that, I thought he was fine, good to have him back.
