Questing isn’t really relevant content.
In that time I did do up to Heroic kills in BFA.
What is your criteria for extensive experience?
this game if for everyone EXCEPT the lazy ones
Well their mantra from the earliest days was wow was supposed to be the accessible mmorpg. That was sited as a main reason for it’s original popularity back in 2004 when it released.
Today I think overall the game still has a lot of modes of play for different types of play…I just think it could all be done a little better. There pvp for well pvp oriented players but I personally liked the original implementation of bgs when they first had ranks and they would actually work on bgs. Now any new ideas or new bg maps are few and far between.
Questing /solo stuff is on pace wise for me but I wish there was more “epic” quest chains that in the end the reward was something very cool. Bonus points if it’s custom made for the class I play. (I adored legion class content btw I like that stuff in my rpg games)
Raids are fine I’m guessing seems to be the single biggest piece of content people play and I haven’t been in that “world” for many years. I have little to offer with raid suggestions, but I guess it’s good.
But you can’t judge what draws people to play the game because everyone is different we all have our own things we do to engage with the game. That’s kind of what makes the game popular (or made it popular) you do your thing.
As long as folks aren’t going out of their way to harass other players I say just enjoy the game how you enjoy it.
I think more fun comes from the game when players aren’t jerks to each other but rather help each other out, but you can’t control the behavior of others only your own.
Would have to agree on that one
Like, there’s a lot of issues, but getting into the game right now is mostly pretty quick and easy.
Depends on what you mean by that. If you mean getting a toon up to an acceptable, barebones level, sure.
If you mean being competitive at high-rated PvP or heroic/mythic raiding it’s something entirely different, and WoW’s grind is still objectively horrendous.
I mean, just look at the absolute disaster area that is Sepulcher, e.g. Like no one’s doing that raid. It’s a cluster and even after like 100 nerfs it’s still the most insane monstrosity of a raid they ever came up with. It’s not surprising WoTLK has queues and retail has the sound of crickets.
Pop into classic and come back and tell us how easy the grind is.

An acceptable level to start doing content.

PvP gearing is super easy if you’re a rated player.
As for PvE it can be time consuming if you want full bis of everything but just standard stuff seems…fine? Like, unlimited valor. You can get full 288-298 without too much.
Absolutely not. Getting to a competitive level is incredibly easy. I will post on my alt to prove it. One sec while I swap
Howdy, this character is less than a month old.
Okay swapping back to my monk now.
Yeah, never healed keys on Priest before so set this char up a few weeks ago.
The only crickets I hear are the ones on your side. Gearing in WoW is the easiest it has ever been full stop.
You seem to have some sort of classic good, retail bad agenda going. Which has IMO always been bizzare behavior.

No, not really. Classic is stale recycled content. It was great for its day, but it hasn’t aged well. Although even in old age it’s vastly better than BFA or SL. You’re the one that seems defensive for some reason. The game is in horrendous shape and pretending things are fine isn’t really helpful to anyone.
If you mean being competitive at high-rated PvP or heroic/mythic raiding it’s something entirely different, and WoW’s grind is still objectively horrendous.
assuming this is from your experience but funny can’t seem to see this experience you have for it.
You dont do high end pvp, you dont do high end pve
Your claim was that gearing takes too long and the grind is too hard. This is objectively false.
IDK what else to tell you buddy
What I’ve noticed is that people that are parents or with busy jobs are the ones that are mainly complaining about how the game doesn’t dedicate to them.
Our whole raid team is made of people with careers and/or kids. We raid Cutting Edge every tier.
I feel like WOW is more directed towards Teenagers and mainly young adults. Or people with jobs that don’t require, many hours. What I’ve noticed is that people that are parents or with busy jobs are the ones that are mainly complaining about how the game doesn’t dedicate to them.
I dont know what to tell you. I work every day and have kids and still play high enough level at this game. Only lazy/bad people are the ones who can’t progress at this game

The harsh truth a lotta people can’t handle. A significant majority of WoW players are trash tier players
