If he died like most other things, shouldn’t he have gone to be tortured for all of his crimes (sins?), instead of vanishing from existence? I don’t understand Ion’s response. At all.
Maybe he didn’t hear the question and thought they meant Arthas being in Azeroth?

I mean it could mean that Arthas is dead so he has no power in the afterlife. Like they know more about how the spirits operate in there. It could be that spirits there do not hold any positions of authority.
We didnt kill kelthuzad in Nax, did we? He’s a lich with a phylactery somewhere. You dont kill a lich without its phylactery destroyed.
Wouldn’t that contradict Uther being able to help us?
Maybe Arthas is buried so deep in the Shadowlands for his torture he might as well not exist?
I thought there was a quest doing that before or after defeating him.

Arthas is in the Maw, it’s where Sylvanas saw him in the Edge of Night short story.
We found his phylactery the first time we defeated him and handed it to Father Montoy at Light’s Hope Chapel. Unfortunately Father Montoy didn’t destroy the phylactery and Kel’Thuzad was reborn. We have no idea what happened to his phylactery the second time he was defeated.
