I been watching and reading a lot of Star Wars lore lately, lots of evil characters that are tucked away in small plot stories not many will find! So it got me thinking on who I would consider the most evil wow villain to ever touch Azeroth.
For me I think it’s going to be Kel’thuzad just for the soul reason of the rumor behind abominations and Theod (I believe Theod is cannon to be made out of woman and children, abominations are a bit up in the air last I checked).
I couldn’t even imagine what it would smell like to be in there as a adventure or the amount of guts! (Pun is intended) to walk around in naxx. To add insult to injury he even let his cat walk freely in there! ;( poor thing.
Who is your number 1 most evil person in warcrafts history? Any that a lot of people over looked or shrug off as no big deal, but under a magnified glass they did some terrible deeds?
Feel like an Old God or Void Lord has to win this by default.

Going to be that guy and say Sylvanas.

He was going to be my 2nd pick! But I thought what the heck :p.
Which one would you choose specifically? Would it be Jaina the dreadlord/Old God? (Kidding)
As far as actual actions go it’s gotta be Sargeras. He shattered the demon’s prisons and ushered in thousands of years of systematic extermination of life on countless worlds.

I would say sylvanas is the most evil, then maybe gul’dan
It is hard to top someone responsible for the total extermination of countless planets across millions of years of history. Sure, he has a “motivation”. But Sargeras’ “good intentions” are about as well thought out as Thanos’.
“The Void Lords can’t win if there’s nobody to lose!”
Brilliant, Sargeras. Just… Brilliant.

Oh it was millions of years? Yeesh.
Number is a bit exaggerated but it’s been a while.

We don’t have an exact time frame, but millions is a decent estimate. Sargeras was active long before he found Argus, and that was 24,000 years ago.
A more conservative estimate might be hundreds of thousands of years. But even then… That still gives him the single highest body count of anyone to ever exist in the Warcraft universe.
Oh you don’t have to convince me, I said the same thing. Only my estimate of his operating time was severely lacking. I don’t judge on theoretical plans so I find him worse than the Void Lords. Sure they want to exterminate all life but they can never get a proper foothold in our world and Sargeras has done far worse in a crazed effort to stop them.
I will say Sylvanas, but only after Shadowlands ending where blizzard reveals she both responsible for Arthas and Sargeras corruption.
For now, Guldan, unrepentant and purely about himself. He will destroy entire world for just a chance at power and sleep like a baby afterwards.

Surely it would be Kil’jaeden, who sold his entire world for the sake of power? At least Sargeras had some altruistic ideals, however unbalanced his methods.
It is difficult to say.
Since a fate worse than death is possible in Warcraft, most demons/warlocks have condemned people to an infinity of torture already, so their evil already has a value = ∞
Mortal crimes like murder, extermination, torture and all forms of physical abuse is trivial by comparison to eternal torture; which means your orcish barbarian or human interment camp worker will not even get to enter the evil-competition at all no matter how brutal they might have been. And so, the question becomes:
What being in the Warcraft lore has condemned the most amount of souls to eternal torture, and thus multiplied suffering by infinity the most?
Either way, whoever it is is likely only the second most evil being when compared to the Tortollans and the mind-numbing games they forced countless adventurers to suffer through.

Arguably Archimonde’s probably a better fit for that mindset than Kil’jaeden.
Kil’jaeden seemed to go into the deal somewhat buying into Sargeras’ whitewashed sales pitch of the eredar bringing knowledge and enlightenment to the universe under his leadership. Thanks to visions channeled to him through the skull of Thal’kiel, Archimonde had seen the horrible truth before the Dark Titan arrived, yet was the first of the three to sign on for Team Legion.
Unlike Kil’jaeden, who seemed to still entertain some erroneous thoughts of altruism before signing on with Sargeras, Archimonde was already a power-hungry sadist long before being turned into a demon. He outright killed his own master not because of the threat Thal’kiel and the demons posed (Archimonde actually didn’t mind that) but because he hungered for the power and prestige he could gain by taking down Thal’kiel and gaining the favor of Velen and Kil’jaeden.
Kil’jaeden was probably at least marginally deceived by Sargeras’ offer; Archimonde went into it knowing full well what was really going on.

True, but don’t forget it was Kil’jaeden who spent thousands of years hunting the draenei across the cosmos, world after world. Archimonde seemed less conniving and manipulative, focused more on brute force, and seemed to have very little interest for the most part in pursuing this grudge against Velen and his exiles.
That’s just it though; Kil’jaeden’s obsession with the draenei stemmed from him knowing, deep down, that Velen was better than him, and Velen rejecting the deal made him doubt the decision he’d made. He even says it at the end; he envied Velen for the faith that guided him, and Velen’s choice those 25,000 years past flew in the face of his own calculated belief that there was no other choice. Being a demon exacerbated his worst qualities, but ultimately that same mortal doubt and conflict remained the entire time, driving him to need to end the draenei for fear that they were right and he was wrong.
Archimonde’s cruelty and viciousness were basically born out of him already being a cruel and vicious monster deep down before he was ever turned into a demon. Kil’jaeden was a flawed person who became an evil one because of his bad choices; Archimonde already was an evil person, and eagerly leapt at the chance Sargeras offered to revel in becoming even worse.
