Who is the last titan?

My guess would be our Beloved friend

I am but I don’t like to talk about it.

I think it has a double meaning, personally. Obviously, it has been set up in lore that Azeroth is the last Titan world soul.

But I also think the Titans will resort to releasing the last of their pantheon, Sargeras, at some point during the final act. Sargeras’ whole purpose of weaponizing the demons into the Burning Legion was to combat the Void.

We’ve known all along who he is.

You, the player, is the last titan

There’s only one way to deal with the sword in Silithus too. And that is for Sargeras himself to remove it and use it to cleave Xal’atath in toes, oops, I meant in two.

It’s definitely Sargeras…I’d bet my house on it

Last in this context clearly means previous.

And since Xal’atath definitely lied about K’aresh still being alive, the previous Titan was Argus.

Clearly the expansion will start in Northrend because we need to fish what’s left of Argus’s soul out of the Shadowlands. Then the rest of the expansion will be our efforts to restore Argus the planet.

I feel like this has a great deal of merit. Also, we are going back to Ulduar, and in our first trip there we met Algalon. He was doing a planetary analysis for re-origination if systemic corruption was found. He was the appointed rep for the Pantheon. If they detect the level of Void influence in Midnight, it could alert the Pantheon, and the “Last Titan” Sargeras will come here for a final fight. The Last Titan could very well herald the end of a lot of stories and make room for a 10 year time jump in 14.0 where Azeroth has healed, zones are getting back to order after the sundering, and a new, never before seen threat is on the horizon.

If done properly, this could close the loop for Wrath, Legion, BfA, and Shadowlands.

It certainly seems that this “Worldsoul Saga” will culminate in something momentous.

Why else would they make a trilogy of three chapters instead of just three separate expansions as always? Why make an effort to make such an inter-connected storyline, instead of a bunch of self-contained stories, if the pay-off won’t be legendary?

The Worldsoul Saga will probably culminate in Azeroth healing/starting to grow and the lands of the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor will finally heal from the Shattering.

No more endless tornadoes in Westfall, wooooo.

Be serious.

Why didn’t they do it for Legion, BfA, or Shadowlands then? Why wait until now?

It’s because, as I said…

The Worldsoul Saga will be one of the most epic pieces of media ever created in the Warcraft franchise. You’re wrong.

Du Mass the undead adventurer is the last titan. Someone so stupid you wouldn’t even think twice about it.

It’s Luxuria the Warlock

I’ve assumed it refers to desire of the existing titans to make Azeroth’s world soul into a titan, “completing” their pantheon.

A secondary idea would be that the titan pantheon will somehow be all but wiped out save for one who will be the vengeful antagonist (or alternately, who is selflessly providing some last service?)

I find it very curious that a side-story of k’aresh focused on making it clear that it’s world soul still exists (although diminished to the point where it is a little constellation about the size of a watermelon) and that it can be revived. Is this here for a reason in the grander story?

I feel like once they have closed all of the loopholes, we will see a completely different villain with 14.0. Normally we face extinction type bosses who want to wipe out the masses and replace the world with their own people. I have to wonder if 14.0 brings us a 10-15 year time jump, Azeroth has been at peace, and mended for a LONG time.

Now, some new Thanos style conqueror will appear through a rift from a parallel universe and go for the enslavement option. Turn the citizens of this world into workers to serve him. I just know we need something new, something not bent on destruction, but rather domination. Like, Negan. He doesn’t want you dead. He wants you obedient and producing for him.

I am being serious.

Blizzard is always coming up with marketing gimmicks. This time the gimmick is called “trilogy”.

I see no real difference between this “trilogy” and MoP - WoD - Legion, three expansions where the last Raid of one expansion “belongs” to the next expansion.

MoP ended with an Orc Raid, leading to the Orc expansion that ended with a Demon Raid, leading to the Demon expansion.

I think new expansions will take place in revamped old world regions, following the success of Quel’Thalas in Midnight and Northrend in TLT. The villains will be regional threats that affect that region.

Example:

14.0 could be an expansion set in Khaz Modan, where the villains are cultists from the Dark Iron Clan and the Twilight’s Hammer who want to revive Ragnaros.

15.0 could be an expansion set in Northern Kalimdor. The villains could be Xavius and the Emerald Nightmare who want to corrupt Nordrassil and the regrowing Teldrassil.

Reminder that Tyrande told Shandris that they would return to Teldrassil one day. Bel’ameth is just a temporary refuge. Teldrassil is and will always be their true home.

And so on…

And yes, before anyone says it, I am more than ready to open up Stormwind or Ironforge to the Hordies as long as those regions are revamped like Quel’Thalas will be.
