did you just express some liking for BADOWlands story? thats a brave opinion on a wow fan forum.
Yes, and Iām not the least bit concerned about the people who rant on endlessly about how terrible WOW is in general and SL is in particular. These are the people who love to hate the video game they play so why are they still around?
If I felt the way they do about the game I would have been long gone years ago.
I felt like SL didnāt live up to the hype of being ThE WoRsT story ever. I came in at the tail end strapped in - expecting something groundbreaking in terms of horrible.
I feel cheated and lied to by GD.
Good on ya, this forums got so many people who straight up hate this game yet refuse to leave. Its nice to see someone actually be a fan of the game theyāre playing!
Thatās it Iām leaving
Sad but true. I was going to buy a Race Change for the Priest, but now Iām going to wait.
It mostly depends on how attached people are to the gameās lore and older stories, like Warcraft 3 and the like. Or perhaps some are fans of certain characters like Sylvanas (the old Sylvanas, not the garbage weāve gotten in BfA and SL).
Personally, I enjoyed all of those things, and Sylvanas is my favorite Warcraft character, so the many fumbles and questionable writing decisions frustrated me greatly. Iām a stickler for writing consistency and continuity. I guess the only consistency I got during SL was that it was consistently terrible.
WoWās writing has never been award worthy. Heck, it is indeed kind of bad at times. But up until recently, Iāve at least been entertained, even through the bad. BfA and SL did not entertain me. All they did was insult my intelligence and ruin some of the best stories this franchise ever had.
I started with the lore when I first started playing when Cataclysm came out. Maybe it would have been different if I played the earlier versions but looking back I didnāt see anything different from what I was experiencing.
I thought they wrapped up the story rather well and that most of the thread lines were resolved. Of course others, particularly concerning the Light were not but thatās fine, something for another day.
As for Sylvanas, even though she says she was in control clearly she was a victim of Zovaal. He did take something out of his ānowhere containerā, crumple it up and throw it back to her allowing her to feel things she hadnāt been feeling before.
As for claiming she was in control, I believe that was all about punking the lunar bafoon Tyrande into āpunishingā her by throwing her back into the briar patch. Now she can regroup while living in her condo in Torghast surrounded by whatās left of her Manswarn army.
Neither. They did Lahabrea and Nāzoth dirty.
I refuse to believe nzoth is done. theres been way too much setup for them at least playing a role in future storylines. biggest being how the blade of the black empire was delievered to them with no apparent reason other than to āserve my willā and the only thing we saw it used for after that was attempted betrayals, nzoth aināt stupid. He knew full well heād likely lose and had a backup plan in the blade of the black empire. now whether xalāatath is okay with that all is a matter for debate.
Maul was wasted. His presence was dark enough that he never had to speak.
Watched both. I mean, I had watched the Sylvie one months ago, so I watched the FF14 one.
Now Iām concerned about the storytelling for 2 MMOs instead of one. Some notes:
-BBEG gone mad by āthe Truthā spilling his guts because he couldnāt possibly be stopped is such a boring trope dude.
-Is this l fmv from the most recent expansion? Because the cinematic itself looks somewhat dated.
-What is this music? The music at the end was good, but the first 4 minutes were awkwardly composed.
-The writing in WoW cinematics as of late has been less than great to put it mildly, but man, voice acting goes a LOOOONG way.
And I donāt think anyone is going to defend Zovaal, he is a trash tier, uninspired, forgettable antagonist, probably the worst weāve had in a long time. Whatās worse is we had Sire Denathrius, a much better villain.
This response didnāt surprise me at all. It seems we will be forever at odds, so I will not be engaging with you from this point on.
Emperor Belos has super powers
No, he was the best swordman in the empire and beyond anyone.
edit: Plus the artificial echo. He was a complete sociopath either way, although I did like Yotsuyu at lot more, she was something else.
Vect is great but I favor Urien Rakarth as a Dark Eldar, well ex Dark Eldar player. I do not play 40k tabletop anymore. Rakarth has such great lore and I love the Haemonculi.
Bobby Kotick
what about Billy The Cosby
He created Fat Albert. He is a hero.
but then he went on a spree and took advantage of 100s of ladies - hence the villian
