Now that we have seen a bunch of Alpha footage from content creators, who here has decided to switch their main to the new race/class? And if so, what was it that sold you?

I never switch mains. I always main Paladin.
However, I will be rolling it as an alt. If i like it enough, I will roll at least 4 of them once I get used to the healing style.

I wish Dracthyr was a full playable race with armor visible in dragon form. I’d be a hunter one.
We need a non-mammal race. I was disappointed to learn Visage is main form for Dracthyr which is basically yet another Blood Elf

Oh, no, because I have my main realm (Uther), which is low pop.
Then I have realms that I make gold on. So, I’ll probably roll a new one on Stormrage to start, so I can have another crafter of some sort, because I only have… 15? toons on that realm right now and I need more.
If I like the healing style, I will proceed to my other gold making realms, and make one on Uther to help guildies out if needed.

Very possible. Been wanting to get back into ranged forever, but none of them were super enjoyable for me for one reason or another.
Evoker looks like it is essentially a mid-ranged demon hunter, and i love the customizations that come with it.
I can’t be certain until i feel it in my hands, but from what i’ve seen, and what i’ve played with in the talent calculator, i think it’s what i want. I can already imagine where i’d put everything on my bar, and that’s a good start.

I might… Mage right now kinda sucks, not exactly from a gameplay point a view but from a class fantasy one, your character only knowing the basics of Frost and Arcane when you play a Fire mage is really annoying, he just forgets when he switches to another spec… I wish they would have a interplay between the specs, like, imagine if Arcane missiles served as an execute for Fire and Frost, but Frostfire Bolt served a similar purpose for Arcane, for instance, or that Blizzard was a trademark AoE spell of all mages, not just Frost.
I don’t know, maybe it’s because I am playing a mage in TBCC right now and I am loving having a tool for every situation even if I am not specialized in Frost or Arcane type of magic, but as someone that started in Legion, having my mage completely focusing on a single type of magic never felt right.
With that said, Evoker for better or worse fulfills the evocation specialist fantasy that mages lost over the years. The downside is that I don’t really have an interest in the Dracthyr’s themselves and even with all their customization options shown I don’t find them particularly interesting as a race, but that might be because I vastly more interested in the Blood Elf lore and culture.

I’ve been wanting to play wow for a long time but all the races are ugly and now we have a cute one and i like time magic so… BOOM!
Mains… never… play one as an alt, absolutely.

Probably won’t swap but I think it is going to be my primary alt now instead of Ret/Fury.
Thinking about it for healing.
As much I enjoy Holy Paladin in practice, the reality of playing a combo point healer in melee with all the cleaves etc is just not fun these days.
Been having a lot of fun with RSham, ranged heals, ranged DPS, ranged interrupt… it’s just less work and more fun when healing keys.
Evoker ticks the same boxes as RSham so it’s definitely in contention. But haven’t seen talents for Pally or Shaman yet.

I wanted a reptile race but this ain’t it.

I’d definitely make a few just to oggle at the pretty males but play them? Usually I have to get my paws on the class first to see how they feel to play.
Demon Hunter looked so cool and at least to me, they feel like paper tigers with only 3 abilities to ever press. They look awesome but play terrible.
