On my best run I got 3. Far too often it was 1 or 0. We’d be happy to take people who needed gear as long as they passed on the orbs.

Not sure what was worse. Farming the Enchant before they moved it or farming the orbs for mats.
the Enchant… Live side was fun to run, so you ended up with a few ( I did) way before I got the chant

I’ll be there farming the Truefaith pattern and Flask of Wisdom recipie for most of phase 1 probably. The Righteous Orbs are just icing on the cake.
Also, I love Strat Live. Love it love it love it.

Lol, i was reminded of this when i ran stratholme in refail recently.
Had 5 orbs drop in one run…i was speechless, as so many times in the past i had run it, to have no orbs drop whatsoever.
Enchanting is worth picking up for crusader alone, so much money to make

Yes! I always thought that the monks in Scarlet Monastary looked unusually buff, or ‘swole,’ given their chosen profession. I love healing in SM and watching my poor tank getting disarmed or stunned every pull, or sometimes twice in one pull! So funny.
The dangerous enemies in Live Strat are even funnier: watching them charge stun my tank over and over, hearing him curse over discord. So. Much. Fun.

If you expect to fill your groups with people who will pass on Orbs- think again. The new meta is Round Robin. Everyone in the group Needs on an Orb, and if you win an Orb you pass on the rest, until everyone in the group gets 1 orb. Then it resets.
The average drop rate is 3 orbs per run.
Perhaps for a generic run. If I’m going for orbs, I make it clear what the plan is. People can agree or not. Clearly, if it’s some random group, everyone should have a shot, but when farming, you agree to the terms of the group or you don’t go.
That’s why you run with a guild and only take extras to fill any open slots.

Again, if you think you’re gonna have success filling up live strat runs when you and your friends are reserving all the orbs, good luck. If you need pre-raid BiS from live, you can just join any of the other million Round Robin live strat groups forming, and get your pre-raid BiS and have a shot at orbs all the same.
The meta is now “live strat, orbs RR”, or “live strat, orbs RR + first 1 to the tank” if the group needs a tank. People like you forming live strat and reserving every orb drop are gonna get shunned by the community- so, like I said, good luck!
New? Don’t know about you, but that’s how all the groups I was in did it in 2006.
