I don’t. In fact, I have a certain hatred for it.
For those who don’t know, versatility gives you both a damage/healing buff while reducing damage taken.
Armor (for any non-cloth wearing class) already does this. For cloth-wearing classes its useless.
STR, AGL, or INT already provides the necessary damage buff.
So what exactly is the point of versatility? If there is hardly a point, which I believe there is, what can it be replaced with?
I love it. greatest thing ever.
But like why though? I’m missing context.
It is a filler stat but can be useful in PvP and Tanking…
I should address in a PvE scenario. I don’t care about PvP.
Tanking I can understand, but there are so much other stuff that offers damage reductin.
Vers is a straight up damage and damage reduction stat. It’s great for some specs. And it’s great for Delves.
It’s fine.
Currently best stat for Deathbringer BDK so I kind of need it.
People can say what they want but vers is wholeheartedly both a boring and unimportant stat if you aren’t like a tank or a pvper. And this can be seen throughout this tier, Blizzard released a BRD raid for the anniversary but nobody ever ran it because they pumped almost every item with vers. Could’ve made easy raid alternatives to hard to get things like poisoned pact but nope! Fill the raid with items with a dead stat for the majority of specs in the game.
I’m still missing context. If I wanted to run Vers, I would perhaps roll with a leather-wearing class.
Maybe Vers is used for some classes with middle-ground armor like leather and mail? For plate wearers its not that important. For clothies its useless.
Some classes like Versa cuz they scale poorly with other stats, like WW Monk or Ret Pally (back in DF). Not a fun stat, but useful.

If vers is a main secondary for a DPS outside of pvp that means blizzard completely shat the bed on the scaling of the class. It still has uses though I guess.
So versa is used as a poor excuse of a cover-up secondary stat?

No I avoid it on all my gear except for maybe tanks. Boring stat

Not a poor excuse. It’s a fact. Versa is useful when your class is built in a way that others stats are simply not good due several factors, like when your big hitters always crit and you don’t have anything that make those crits bigger through crit% interaction (Like chaos bolt interaction, where it always crit, so instead of increasing crit chance, the crit stat increases it’s crit damage). This makes crit a bad stat for you, so Versa covers this increasing your overall damage.
