What spec is able to /afk after full CD dot setting and watch the enemy bleed out?
I’m fairly positive it’s going to be Aff but between Sin and Feral who has better dots?

it depends on how blizzard did the balancing that patch for which class has more over time damage. IIRC FB has been the bulk of damage for feral for quite a while…
With that said if you want to dot someone up and then watch them bleed out then your better off going into classic. People dont really like rot classes anymore because of how relatively cd intensive it is to apply said damage over a group and that it’s better to just take the class with more up front damage and Blizzard has balanced with that in mind

Afflock. Agony and Unstable Affliction do a ton of DoT dmg.
Probably Necro Feral or NF Affliction.

Nothing like the good old days of spreading the dots and watching dot timer over 3-4 mobs with 3-4 dots each.
sure you could kill all four in half the cleaves or burn them down one by one faster back then but man was it fun to watch stuff slowly die.
Aff lock was my absolute favorite pvp spec for years because of that. Sure, you may kill me but I also killed you and potentially/probably your buddy if nobody has enough healing/cleanses
Dots were extremely nerfed in PvE content. They aren’t like they used to be.

Specs like that don’t exist anymore.
But right now Lock’s highest dmg done is their spender. Malefic Rapture. They are a builder spender class, with lots of filler dots. However, you can go heavy into DoT DMG in DL.
Unholy Death Knight looks to have a Pet focused build or a DoT/Bursting Wounds build in DF.
Shadow Priest looks to have a RoT focused build or a mind blast burst build in DL.
However there arent really any DoT em up and let em rot specs anymore. Which I miss.
In a way BM hunters are a great DoT class, if you just think of their pets as DoTs.

Or when range SV Hunter with Serpent Spread could dot the entire group and top meters.

Because of people like OP. He mentioned he wanted to go afk and use dot play.
It used to be locks you did that with and had your VW out to protect you and hunters as well. But that is why you can no longer go afk and farm with your pets out as the aggresse feature was removed. Only have assist now.
Throw dots! More dots! I want to see dots up all the time!

Their DoT is far more potent than any of the local DoTs.
Also Pete Buttigiege really likes trains.
