I do, but it’s been so long now I don’t recall how hard it was to get. But if you mean in PvP, I don’t do that anymore, so not me in that case.

I just have a couple of common Nightshades and don’t do PvP, have heard though that thr S/S is both a PvP killer pet and the rarest of Nightshade drops.

Was curious, checked AH on a dozen different servers. Of the 52 Nightshade Sproutlings I saw, ranging from mid-20k up, was only 1 S/S. For 140K gold.

The main reason that many want the S/S version is because the speed it has often means it will act first over so many other pets. That being said there is many pets that are actually much faster than this battle pet.
The key abilities that players make use of is well timed Blinding Poison to prevent the other player key abilities of their pets being able to hit your pets.
That being said there are several other pets that have this same ability in addition to others that do something similar in that they prevent the other teams pet from using their ability or being unable to hit your pets with that ability.

One example that I can provide is the Guardian Cobra Hatchling firstly this only comes in one variety S/S so you don’t need to get lucky or buy it on the AH. This pet actually has the same speed as the S/S version of the Nightshade Sproutling (325). The Hatchling also has Paralyzing Venom which prevents the use of their abilities if you attack first.

However, a pet that you definitely can’t overlook as an alternative to Nightshade Sproutling or Hatchling is actually the S/S version for Rose Taipan because it is just that much faster it has a speed of 341 so will actually go before even the Nightshade Sproutling just something to consider.
