All this “its the healers job” or “it’s the dps job” sounds like a failing marriage.
Husband: it’s your job to do the dishes, I picked up the kids
Wife: No….I got groceries, its your job to do the dishes
It is everyone’s job to handle explosive

The Paladin.
We tend to dive on explosions and not bother using bubble. Check out the lore. The only one to ever bubble was Tyrion. Which is why he as the GOAT.
The rest of us just kinda jump into explody things to save the team.

you can’t hit them with aoe
Best you can do is cleave through them, like ice lance explosive and second lance will hit mob. But you can’t cleave them, second ice lance will not touch it

if you’re gonna do that with every orb packs will take an eternity to die.
MOST orbs should be the healers job, if party isn’t actively dying. If healer is busy and explosive going to blow - yes, you should probably switch and help

I switch to help regardless and they die pretty freakin fast. I agree if healer’s got some downtime they should help but it’s really not hard.

It’s the healer’s job for the most part. If you havnt noticed already, every affix in the game is a healer affix. Sanguine stands out, but still gotta heal people when they step in it.

That makes me so salty. I thought it would be a great affix to have as a frost mage but nah. Blizzard doesn’t want our utility to be useful I guess 
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that, because it was Everybody’s job.
Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn’t do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have.

you don’t really want to lose your 40-50k ice lance to dive into explosive all the time instead of enemy. And icicles.
And frost is pretty decent in mid-level keys. I was top deeps in my last two +14 runs. Being able to cast mostly instant skills helps a lot

Yeah but I have to. This affix causes a net dps loss for me because I’m forced to actually target the bombs with my ice lance causing me to waste too many procs. I try to fire blast instead when I can but bombs are so plentiful I can’t handle them with fire blast alone.
