Who Getting letters form Reporting People?

Its Nice and all but you know what would make me feel better Give me a Title you know the one your using in-game mails “the Defender of Azeroth”
Let me show people that i will report them and things will happen to them like the “Core Hound Pup” for a blizzard authenticator being hooked to my account. Blizzard show me that you care and let me show others I care about wow!

So like…an in-game vigilante system? Do as I tell you or suffer the consequences? Surely that wouldn’t be abused. Surely…

not me, I don’t report anyone. I don’t care what others are doing in the game.

Haha Blizzard pats you in the back (or in the head) for it with automated message, it sure feels nice isnt it?

Be careful what you wish for.
If they do I’m going to keep reporting you until I get the title.

Ooooh! Are you threatening me?

Nope. The mods have their ways of noticing if you’re spamming reports on people that aren’t doing anything.

I don’t know… sounds pretty aggressive! I probably ought to report it!

(I’m actually teasing. I just thought I’d make that clear because… Poe’s Law)

I think we’re going to be seeing a lot of players using this to report the first player who leaves a doomed key, and anyone they see who offends them by not playing the game right™. And apparently there will be an automated system to warn or suspend you after determining you are playing the game wrong™.

Aside from reporting advertisements in LFG, I can count the number of times I’ve actually reported anyone over the past 15 some odd years on one hand and have enough fingers left over to hold my coffee mug.

The only time I can remember is someone glitching a WSG match to get the flag from our base to theirs almost instantly.

I prefer NOT to interfere with anyone else’s game on general principle. I don’t care if they’re publicly insulting me, if they ruin a M+ key of mine, or cost me hours worth of time invested in something. The only time I would report someone is if they are obviously and shamelessly abusing a bug or glitch to the detriment of others.

If the state can encourage everyone to report on their neighbor, then no one can trust anyone and everyone will always be too afraid to speak out and never be able to group up.

It’s just a game, but that this type of thing is being normalized, accepted and in many cases asked for, is pretty ominous.
