but like let say they raided friday and saturday, now this guy manage to be free sunday, he doesnt want pug and the guild is already locked so no dice, every time he is only free in diferent times from the guild he wont be able to progress his character.
this is totally on him btw because he is choosing not to pug but I understand how he feels.
the dude wants to push stuff and progress, he probably only be able to progress with a guild once the guild is already done doing the raid for gear because every time they re locked they cant really help him out, but like I said up there its no one else fault other them his own
Thereās just a point where a single player game would be a better choice, and if his schedule is that extreme + he refuses to pug, I personally would probably look at a different game.
I worked retail with irregular hours from Vanilla to WoD, so I can understand it can be a pain. In TBC I raided half the time with an Aussie guild because their schedule worked out better than my guild did for me.
I mean he is fine, he is not complaining or blaming anyone, he is just asking who else is in the same boat, dude is lonely xD
pretty hard to get in a guilds inner circle for runs
otherwise ur stuck with the avg at best people
been on both sides
on one hand i want to bring everyone on other hand my friends come first
Pretty much except I am looking and cant find anyone to play with.
Yeah, thatās why people are encouraging him to join a casual guild even though he may not be able to raid every time. Thereās still gonna be socialization, dungeons, bg, etc that he can do with them when heās able to play.

Could always pug and build yourself a xserver āguildā or community OP.
Do you really want to push harder content if you donāt want to join a guild to do so?
Legitimate question.
You are kinda putting being in a guild up on a pedestal here. Itās really not a big deal, just join and and see if it works out. If not, leave and join another.
There are plenty of casual guilds who do flex normal/heroic raiding a couple different nights a week and do not require attendance every time for dps. Many times they will do an alt/beginner raid once per week as well.
Also, m+ is much more suited to hectic schedules and much easier to get started in with a guild, so long we you are willing to learn the dungeons and care about doing well even a little bit.

i suggested joining a community earlier but itās been a while since dude responded.
Thereās a mythic+ Discord you can join where people are happy to help you learn, and itās an excellent resource for finding people to run those keys with.
is there a link to it? i might just feel it out for a bit. i have spent most of my time playing solo. but my wife is multi ce keystone master and has raised my self esteem quite a bit as far as my own ability goes. i could just go with her and her ce friends but iād rather work my way up on my own, with other people who are learning. you know?
Join a community then? Or stop being stubborn.
You arenāt going to do harder content if you arenāt going to participate in a group for people doing that content, especially when also refuse to do content with randoms.
We have a bunch of members like that, they come when they can, we feed them loot, and then we continue progressing so the next time theyāre on we can get them even better loot. There are guilds full of adults with hectic lives who understand your predicament.

Google Mythic Plus Friends, Iām not sure if posting discord links is kosher with the forum rules.
I empathize. And my suggestion is to join a guild anyway. But I am not gonna sugar coat it. It is hard to make it work if you canāt commit to at least some of the raid times. Despite the constant complaints, you CAN keep up with gear enough if you are only a semi-regular raider to clear heroic with a guild but semi regular is maybe missing a raid night here and there. I raised my kid alone and until she was a teenager I couldnt commit. The one time I tried I made raid night twice in a month period. It just wasnt doable even if I could keep myself geared enough to not be terrible, I wasnt good enough to do mechanics twice a month and be sufficient at it ya know.
If you can make 1 night a week and a maybe sometimes night 2. That could work for ya.
Otherwise my guild for instance has people we contact regularly when we need pugs. So sure its pugs, but we know these guys and play with them semi regularly. You could be that guy for a couple guilds.

I want to push content. Period.
Iāve pugged and thought to myself what is fun about this, so I donāt do it anymore. And the not joining a Guild thing is just a āmeā issue paired with the idea that if I did get out of my comfort zone, there is a 1001 guilds to sift through. I canāt be asked to spend many potential months just seeing if I can find a Guild that isnāt cesspool, cliquey, etcā¦
So you havenāt run any mythics ever and you have it all figured out? I hope nobody here who is actually looking to join a guild and maybe get into some raiding or mythics is listening to anything you have to say.

have you⦠have you looked at the name of your current guild??

I have a guild, but itās full of heroic-only raid loggers. We almost never have a full group for keys, (those of us that play when the raid isnāt going). I have friends and connections here that I wouldnāt just leave, but it does get frustrating for sure.
