Who else is part of the "wants to push harder content but can't join a guild and refuses to pug" gang?

You could also just hop in some low keys with a mix of pumpers and non-pumpers and just have some fun and help them get better.

Why would the “pumpers” want anything to do with a nobody who isn’t at their level and probably never will be?

Okay please out of my head thanks.

What valid reason do you have to not join a guild?

What circumstance would exist that you would say you “can’t join a guild?”
Ah I see you have answered that already, my fault.
There are plenty of guilds out there that will not require you to log on every single week, but of course you would need to if you want to dedicate at the highest level.

Finding a group that can support what you can give is all you need though.
No reason you shouldn’t be able to find one.

This wouldn’t matter a ton to a casual raiding guild at all. If you are tank / heals, sure it’s a different story.

Lol wut? You don’t want to join a guild nor do you want to pug?? Sounds like you just don’t want to play wow.

There are plenty of great single player rpgs out there that are very challenging.

You misread what I wrote there friend, I said I am unable to actively participate in a guild because of my inconsistent work schedule.

I would absolutely love to join a raid team.

Ok well regardless if guilds are not an option then their isn’t really much else to say. Might be time to move on from wow

Or… you can try to find a casual guild that isn’t strict on attendance, then you can attend what you can make. You’d be surprised how many casual guilds their are out there. Also lots of in game communities do that too.

have you thought about communities for things you are interested in, op? kinda like a guild but not. lol

This guild says it’s open to casuals:

There may be others on your realm. I just looked in the recruitment forums and picked the first “illidan casual raiding” that came up in the search. You can try the in-game guild finder. Put in the application that you have an inconsistent work schedule. They can send an invite even when you’re offline.

Good luck!

I can’t join a guild because I can’t find one without an uninspired name. If something is going to be displayed under my name constantly it has to be somewhat cool or witty. I moved all nine of my alts of both factions to my current guild and its sister Horde guild, but then the core members decided to move to a less-populated server for some reason. I’m not paying for ten character transfers to hang out with some casual acquaintances, plus I’m happy with my current server.

At this point in the season?

I honestly couldn’t say. I was in a M+ community early on and friended people who we had successful groups with. Over the course of the weeks though, some of these people are still stuck playing 10-12s and some of them are playing 18s and 19s with premades. It’s going to be a lot harder to find people exactly in your specific range of play who have similar play times to you at this point in the season.

Have you given any thought to playing a single player game?

Been guildless since MoP. No complaints really. I just pug when I wanna do things, but it helps that I’m not interested in raiding. /shrug

However, I could get a guild right now if I wanted to. I wouldn’t say it’s hard to get a guild.

Why can’t you join a guild?

The best part of a MMO is the people, and the absolute worst thing about a MM0 is the people.

We have multiple members in our guild who fall into this category. They join us for farm stuff when possible, though usually they don’t come on progression (if they can’t be there to start learning a fight it’s tough to join mid progress etc). But because they help out in other ways (send meat to feast guys, help with flasks etc) we have no problem getting them in when they’re able to.

Sometimes just gotta find a guild that fits.

Why can’t you join a guild? Sorry, but it is pretty easy to join a raiding guild as long as you actually put in some effort and not just say, “Looking for a guild” in trade chat. Also you need to be realistic too. If you can’t put in the time that is on you. If you want to do mythic raiding but only have a 190-200 ilvl then that is not going to happen either.

Look at the guild recruitment forums. Plenty of guilds post there. Read through them as see if you find any that fits what you are looking. Make a post your self and in detail put exactly what you are looking for and wait for responses. Look at guilds on your server raiding around the level you are looking for and could just jump in and talk to their GL or Officers and see if they are recruiting etc.

So to say you can’t join a guild tells me you aren’t even trying and expecting people to come you. Put in the effort and time and you can find one pretty easily.
