Who else has died thanks to the Elevator?

Was coming back from Moonglade on the level 12 druid and of course got sent to Thunderbluff…

…too broke from training skills to fly back to Barrens.

Figured I’d just run back.

Step onto the elevator down. Boom. Disconnected from server.

Log back in within 5 seconds. Log in to find my character falling from all the way up. Nothing I can do except die.

Anyone else discovering the absolute murder machines that are Horde elevators?

Another reason Alliance cities are BiS.

Sewer entrance is best entrance tbh

Nonsense, this is how the Horde filters out the weak.

It’s also why I’m staying out of UC for the time being.

Getting to Thousand Needles from Barrens is a no. :joy:

Yeah TB is not worth the risk. Stick to Org and UC (Sewer entrance)

SW > IF > Darn = UC. The other 2 suck.

How early do you have to get up to have such bad opinions?

You know I’m right.

KEK

No sewer entrance to Thunder Bluff.

Yeah I can’t even fathom the amount of rage I would have if I died to an elevator knowing I genuinely did nothing wrong and it legitimately wasn’t my fault, also knowing that joining HC servers means you agree that you could end up dying that way. Horde might have much better flight paths in vanilla/classic but at least their cities don’t murder you (well maybe the croc in stormwind might)

fair point, you got me there.

Lol the croc wasn’t up but Foe Reaper in Westfall racked up quite the death toll on day 1.

Not an elevator, but my character was thrown off the griffin I took from Moonglade to Rut’Theran Village. I was flying along, minding my own business, when suddenly the screen flashed unknown zone and I was thrown to my death.

Rip. That’s gotta suck.

Since they made other minor HC specific tweaks I don’t think it’d be that crazy for them to add a no fall damage zone around certain problematic elevators. Some people would just jump in some spots maybe, but it might be risky if you miss the correct safe area.

Bro I come to a complete stop in front of elevators. If I don’t know how long its been up I let it go back down and come back up. Then I walk on to it and stand in the very middle so as to not fall off.
