Who else deletes all the Splintered Spark of Dreams that they get?

Been deleting them pretty much ever since they were first introduced due to never having enough flight stones for both them and gear upgrades. Not sure why blizz decided it was a good idea to have the splintered spark system start requiring flight stones between s3 and s4.

I’m sure it’s intended to slow down gearing. The upgrade system is excellent and crafted gear being relevant is excellent, but the developers have to make sure gearing is not too fast/too slow.

My bet is they decided it was too fast and needed to tip the scale a little bit.

EDIT: I would not recommend deleting old Sparks. You can use them to get crafted transmog.

No idea like if anything should be increasing the amount of Flightstones earned not the amount required to improve gear but then again fits Ion’s mo.

I’ve started to delete them as of recently since The War Within is right around the corner and we will replace our gear from Dragonflight right away as we level up to Level 80.

Mats that I could sell, I listed on the Auction House as I’m certain the prices for some crafting mats will drop when War Within releases!

I dunno I don’t suffer from smlack of bag space to care about it. Will probly sell em or w.e once tww happens

I didn’t delete mine, but I definitely stopped combining them once I belatedly realized that I was pitching 200 flightstones into the abyss every time that I did. I’ve never used a single one of them anyway, since they decided that crafting needed to be “social”.

Plegh on that. I just chill with my World Quest gear.

You play on moon guard and don’t want to socialize?

I’ve never used any of those “special” crafting items. I just don’t use crafted gear because the content I play doesn’t require them and the amount of DPS, HPS or TPS isn’t on my radar. Was a time when I use to game that getting Best in Slot was a priority, but the game was more of a job then having fun.

While having fun is subjective to me now, I mostly play to pass the time and playing a more competitive part of the game is more difficult for me since some finger amputations. Having max level crafters, a rarely see public orders using them but maybe because I refuse to sit in a city hawking my wears and am not in a community / guild that I can see requests while out adventuring playing the content / story being told.

I still have a stockpile of season 1 sparks on some alts that I’ve been hesitent to throw out (still some crafted appearances to unlock that need sparks, but I’ve been waiting for the warbank to pool all my mats and do a pass at that)

They really should remove the currency cost from the older season sparks since they are needed for crafting items that only really serve as mog now.

i don’t even know what an ssod is…
i must be deleting them too.

Way too many currencies altogether in this expansion imo. I stopped upgrading stuff once I got a couple of the retail characters, I play to around 410, 415. Was leading to burnout having to constantly check, if you had enough of this or that just to upgrade some pixels that would be replaced soon anyways. Having to trade up a currency for another currency was annoying as heck also.

One, I like being out in the open world but mostly interact with my standing group of friends when I socialize.

Two, shopping for someone to craft something for me OOC isn’t RP. There aren’t really people who RP as armor-crafting vendors because the current crafting system is terrible and complicated, and people would generally rather play a character, not a function.
