Who do we have to beg for an update

You are probably another one who insists sharding won’t be in classic either. so many phonies…

Nope, but I wish for it to not be in, but I understand why it will be in at launch.

So…them releasing it in Summer is fine, but after summer isn’t fine because of other things releasing in April?

I mean…the things in April are releasing before Classic regardless…

And I guess you conveniently forgot that WoW used to subsidize the whole company back then and they could not afford to have a 7th game added to that situation.

This is not gonna fade away

You’re oblivious.

If only that was the case

We’re nowhere near September 19.

As long as they’re working on it and feel they’re on track to release it somewhere during summer, that’s good enough for me. I don’t really care exactly how far along they are, what they’re currently working on etc.

I’m just interested in the answers to questions on some design decisions. Things like whether BGs are going to be cross realm and whether we’re getting 1.12 AV or another version. Those are things I’m assuming they already know the answer to.

While I rarely defend Blizzard, in this case I’m okay with the silence. The way I see it, Classic has to be done right the first time. There can’t be any fix it patches a few months down the road because the private servers are going to be sitting there waiting to take all of their players back. Small development crew or not, it’s strictly pass/fail this time. I think they can knock it out of the park. I also think they could trip over their own greed and totally screw this up. I hope it’s the former. I fear it will be the latter.

This I agree with, and in fact have stated in the past that they made a huge error in judgement giving a release window of any sort. They could have announced a beta window. That would have been enough to sate folks like myself and it would have kept the hype alive. Announcing a release window and then virtually nothing about the actual product was flat out foolish.

HOWEVER, given what it is currently, releasing info about game particulars that they have decided on is perfectly welcome and would at least give the impression they are actually listening to feedback (as was requested way back)

In game development times, yes we are.
Assuming, summer 2019, translates to “the last possible day of summer 2019”. That is still passed the point of no return for design decisions.

We are very close to June 23, the earliest possible day for summer 2019.

everytime a thread like this gets made, Blizzard push the release date back a month to spite you.

right now we are at April 2023. nice work.

Probably because Crowfall is looking like steaming garbage right now, whereas I don’t know if Classic is going to be steaming garbage right now.

Your attitude is the reason I’d never allow updates until the month of release.

It would just be some generic “Yah, we’re still working on it”/“Nothing new to announce”. I don’t think that’s a response worth begging for, but if you want it I imagine bugging Ion is your best bet. I hope Ion doesn’t get mad at me for saying that. :stuck_out_tongue:

Sometimes I think you guys really do just want them to post every day that they are still working on. haha

I think they could tell us if there will be a beta to wait for… or just the main game or if it will be early or late summer if not a date.

True. But, part of me feels like if they were willing to share information related to a beta, it wouldn’t require us begging for it for them to tell us about it. :open_mouth:
