Finally taking the holidays to catch up on all the family achievements I’ve been missing with pet battles, and this particular fight has cost me nearly 2 hours. The RNG is utterly ridiculous, and I can’t believe this ever got approved despite it being from 4 years ago. By far the worst experience I’ve ever had in this game.
You obviously didn’t do Gloamwing Aquatic back in Legion. 
Faryl is very tough for moist Families. To be fair, you can skip two tamers for each Family - Faryl is a logical choice for one of them!

I was already two families deep before it became evident the fight was still really awful, but at that point I had to finish because reasons. Gloamwing got me a few times on aquatic still but I tend to just have incredibly bad streaks when my rolls are unlucky.

Shadowlands is notoriously bad for its lack of tuning, as in we got NONE, iirc. No feedback from the Alpha/Beta was considered, as far as I could tell. Family Exorcist is the only section on Xu-Fu’s where I don’t have a complete set of strategies because the RNG is so awful for some of them, even with ideal teams.
However, there is seemingly no incentive for them to go back and fix SLs issues, let alone tune the fights.

Sounds like one of those (not sufficiently rare) “put your head down and batter that RNG wall down” situations, regrettably.
Zero repeatability, although as a one-shot achievement that is less cruel.
