Who decided WoW needed Bejeweled?

Seriously, the match 5 yellows (or whatever color) quest is insane. RNJesus would be proud to have this one in his collection of tools to punish the wicked with.

What sadist on the team came up with this gem?

It does really need to be tweaked. Allow for other combinations, or perhaps do X number of smaller combinations instead of one 5-in-a-row.

Had no problem getting the things to move. But I felt like I was in purgatory trying to match the five yellow. Eventually I just started matching things and praying things would fall into place.

Hey, maybe by the end of this patch, we’ll all be Bejeweled experts.

I’m not a fan. If I wanted to play Bejeweled while I’m gaming, I’d play… well, Bejeweled, I guess.

Fans: We want Classic
Blizzard: You think you do, but you don’t. What you really want is…BEJEWELED BLITZ! The worst RNG world quest of all time.

Line up two sets of two with a gap in between them, drop one into that gap and you’re done.

I would be fine (no, not really but ok…) if the damn things would switch every time I clicked adjacent runes and played the RNG game…but it’s frustrating to not even get that far. Is there something I’m missing or should there be movement every time two vertically or horizontally adjacent runes are clicked?

I last played Bejeweled on PC almost 20 years ago. I sucked at it then and I still suck at it now.

You can only move something if it will match 3-in-a-row or higher.

“Just do this thing on a game that’s total RNG”

Thanks for the tips dude

The players decided this back in like… Wrath, when Bejeweled was one of the most popular addons in the game.

In fact, I may go and get it, it’s been ages since I properly played that game.

What really gets me is it can be interrupted by any trash mob that happens to go past you. I finally got it after about 4 resets after other players pulled mobs in.

You can decide which pieces to move around. If you need to line up a bunch of yellows, try matching every color except for yellow. You’ll be left with a ton of them on the board.

Thanks! That did it, now I can let RNJesus take the wheel. :expressionless:

I hate the Tortollan quests even more.

The problem isn’t just the 5 in a row. You’ll eventually get it, even if you don’t plan, the way they fall into place. The bigger problem is the reward, which is a cleverly disguised epic waterlogged toolbox – contains a green item “Chum” that you use over at the infested water.

So after X minutes of trying to solve this puzzle, and either succeeding by chance or by your work, you end up with a green item you then need to keep using over and over killing eels for a chance for a rare mob to spawn. Which probably drops a manapearl and 50 ap.

Whoopty-doo.

Wait. Is it Candy Crush or Bejeweled? I am confused.

Shell game can be solved without any memorization whatsoever:

Click one shell, then click another. If they match then move on to the next shell and click it. If not, click the first shell that you clicked and then the next one down the line. Repeat until you get to a match for the first shell and then move to the next shell.

Repeat this process until the board is clear.

Doing it by memory would be faster, but it’s 100% doable without remembering a single shell except for “this is the one I’m clicking right now.”

Funny thing happened. I was at the wrong puzzle game for like an hour, wondering why it wouldn’t complete when i matched 5 multiple times. Good times.
