It does make it fact that the models in FFXIV are definitely newer and have more vertices. That is a fact. It is better graphics. Not everyone needs or likes better graphics in their games though. CoD also has better graphics, but I hate CoD.

I care about it.
I’d rather play an expansion that has 50 hours of content, than the SAME content over and over for 50 hours.

They don’t like it if you bring logic to them saying “i don’t care” which they never follow it up on or actually do!.. They just want to say it and expect people to listen and believe without question…
She’s simply telling you a fact that FF14’s graphical fidelity (which is something that can be measured and analyzed) is much better then WoW’s because it’s newer. Going by armor’s alone, WoW’s armors for the most part are still texture overlays with different models on the characters calling them for each piece. FF14’s armor are models, much like in Skyrim.
Or that the humans in FF14 is much higher in fidelity then WoW’s are in terms of poly count and texture sizes or textures. Density of grass, view distance, etc…

This post reeks of insecurity about WoW’s future.
…and also of WoW players’ obsession with playing just one game.
Even the lead director of FF14 Yoshi P suggests that its players play other games/MMOs and take breaks.
WoW just wants its players to play WoW, and it shows in the core game design.

I haven’t played the game yet (waiting for the lion race to be for free) but I would also support those postings for the sole reason how much we have been played by the WoW developers. Personally, I have no patience with these people anymore. Constantly lying, shifting the blame to either the community or the “old guard” while the game is still a bit enjoyable… if you don’t do the current expansion.
I think most people here just want WoW to be on FF14’s level in every aspect. Why did it took dwindling player numbers and a law suit for them to listen to us? Why?

both wow and FFXIV aren’t that “Great” when you think about MMOs. Wow was built to be a casual MMO and it didn’t have a story till it’s 3rd expansion and it was riding off of the RTS Warcraft 3 story.
FFXiV flopped in 1.0 then made a copy of wow systems with a final fantasy story line.
The thing is both games are the two top MMORPGs currently so of course people will talk about both of them. Most people who play FF did at one point play wow. You see a lot of new people to MMOs as well. Like it or not FFXIV is the 1st actual contender to wow. The worst part is wow was ahead of FFXIV until the devs kept making mistake after mistake.
I’ve played both side by side since FFXIV came out. I enjoy wow pvp and lore when blizzard does things right. While in FF I like story/combat and the fact that I don’t have always play the game. Gearing in FF is simple just like the old days of wow. When I log on Wow I feel overwhelmed with gearing and how to do it, on top of that Mythic + 5 mans have made this game so toxic that as a casual I feel unwanted and not welcome. I use be a raider but I got tired of it and just did casual pvp for a long time. I don’t feel I can do casual Pvp in wow anymore.
Ps I only have a sub cause I stupidly bought 6 month sub thinking TBCC would be fun it was my favorite xpac. Nope pvp broken and raid loggers. Wow is all about rushing to max content and ignoring everything else. What made wow fun to me was all the things people use to do.

The game is fun for me–unlike WoW.
I can’t even use my toys in WoW without a 8 hour cool down, and in FF14, I can hang around the main plaza with a chocobo as my helmet and dance and play the harp…infinitely.
