Who butchered Kel'thuzad's audio effects?

Even if it’s the same voice actor, the modification effects to the lich voice make him sound puny, whiny, and pretty awful. Why is it a bad thing to make him sound as he did in wc3/vanilla?

Is this specific to the raid? He sounds fine to me every time he appears in 9.0 content.

he sounds okay in 9.0 content, albeit a bit too “Saturday Morning Cartoon Villain.” But the 9.1 content, there’s clearly a change in the voice effects to his audio, and it’s for the worse.

Example of his voice in 9.1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qkHr_tQLosc&ab_channel=Noone182

I am really surprised not a lot of people have reported this issue. He sounds REALLY bad on the Maw event and on the new raid, but he sounds perfect on the covenant campaign questline.

He sounded fine doing his little monologue as you enter the upper reaches of the raid, in the clip it does sound off but I don’t know if its that dudes setup because I certainly haven’t heard it like that.

Pretty sure I have DK voices and such on but who knows… I forget if thats an option still even to be honest.

puts on tinfoil

That’s because he’s an imposter!

I hate how whiny they made him sound.

Did they ever reinstate Quinton Flynn btw?

Nope, they even went and re-recorded his old Burning Crusade voice lines with the new actor, even after Flynn was found innocent of the claims made at the time (btw ohboi the irony considering what has been reported today about Blizzard!)

Very interesting that they so aggressively did this despite him being cleared.

My fingers are crossed on Danuser being named and canned in the latest incident.

My guess is because the VA did the voice of KT and Uther and LK. They probably decided to limit the amount of characters he would do.

I THINK its still the same voice actor, its just a different sound effect being used for the new patch.
