It looks like Dreadmoon is my favourite! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

A few names I haven’t seen in a while.

I do like and appreciate everyone here, you’re all entertaining, funny, outrageous and many of you can be frustrating! But it’s the great melting pot of the Forums, so it’s all good.

Sounds like you don’t know anything about primates. But since it’s a little outside my career path too, I’ll paraphrase a biologist, Dr. Jane Goodall:
Chimp attacks are well documented, and very common between males of rival groups, and during social dominance displaces. Infanticide, cannibalism, and straight up murder have been noted countless times.

Chimps act like human gangs, literally. Sometimes worse.

I remember reading Jane was very disturbed at discovering chimps pretty much have territory wars.

But sometimes they sniff their finger and fall out of trees. that’s a hoot

I mean, they are cute… and we can pretend they are naïve and all good… but when it really comes down to it, we both got our “selfish / evil / primal” instincts from a common ancestor.

Anyway, evil is made, it’s not born. That goes for all intelligent animals, us included.

Evil is a fictional construct. It’s not real

The thing with chimps is they have the mindset of a toddler with brute strength. That’s a bad mix.

Have you read about Bonobo pygmy chimpanzees? They are matriarchal, peaceful and diffuse all tension with affection and seduction!
The best chimpanzees, and who is to say we cannot better emulate them for a kinder human society? :white_heart:

I posted on an alt after the forums bugged and removed half my toons without me noticing and I lost my Trust level 3 after that :frowning: forever a member again.

I’d say, maybe like the mind of a 7-yo, but yeah, bad combo. It’s like teenagers with guns.

Bonobos used to be thought of as smaller chimpanzees but they’re def their own thing now.

Which makes sense since they are so different mentally.

Sorry for the random fact, I love all apes (besides the great naked sort)

I knew about bonobos, but didn’t know they were matriarchal. Maybe that’s all we need. Women are better at conflict resolution overall. lol

That’s cool, who are we if we deny further knowledge!

I really love Bonobos. I was so horrified by Chimps when I read Dr. Jane Goodall’s studies; I’m glad Bonobos aren’t as closely related as I’d thought.

Any creature that has wars is trouble, chimps are fascinating but they are just too nasty, they are even bullying Gorillas now D:

I know they are just animals but they could learn from those bonobo, I agree.
