Since the prepatch whenever someone Bnet Whispers or sends a Whisper from another server it doesn’t go into my General Tab. Instead it creates a brand new chat tab with the persons name.
Anyway to change it back so whispers will go into my General tab again? Can’t find any option. Only happens for Bnet and off server whispers.
I am having the same issue. I use Elvui, but it still creates a new whisper tab. I used to have a “Whispers” tab which filtered all the battle.net whispers and pink whispers.
It is kinda chaotic having to cycle through many open tabs. Please help.
I found it.
Interface - Social - At the bottom there is a small drop down window to change where IMs/Whispers go. For some reason the default setting for the pre-patch was to create new tabs for each whisper.

Just an FYI this setting seems to have reset itself last night.
Agreed. This setting seems to have reset itself at some point last night. Whispers from my previous day were still diverting into their own dedicated window that I have set up, but at some point yesterday, they began creating their own window.
Interface > Social > New Whispers in-line corrected it but I hope this isn’t a daily occurrence.
I fixed it last night and it reset again. >_>
The stealth change to Social Interface setting for Whispers is annoying but seems like there’s a more serious issue. My Mature Language filter has been turned off too.
Personally don’t give a f**k if some kid sees a bad word – I have my filter on cause funny to see all the words Blizz censors – but this might have freaked some parents out when their children were in WoW.
