Whining will not fix the Faction Imbalance 🙅‍♂️

I know it’s frustrating, but since we haven’t heard anything new to address this matter, it’s fair to say this problem is here to stay.

So, we have two options, we can keep crying like children unable to handle the situation, or we can start acting like adults looking for solutions.

With that in mind, first off, we must understand that WoW is a game owned by Blizzard, we only pay for game access. So, the only “threat” you have available is your subscription. But don’t fool yourself, countless people join and leave the game every day for countless different reasons, so it’s not like you’re special or something, and if your only complaint is the faction imbalance, chances are that you’re still enjoying the game, so what we can do?

It’s important to note that complaining alone is probably one of the worst solutions available to handle this problem. Because while you’re complaining you keep playing the game normally, the problem seems to not affect your life, so noticing this Blizzard will just ignore you because you’re just making noise.

YOU MUST SACRIFICE SOMETHING FIRST!

Instead of complaining, you can choose a more painful way, which ultimately will make a difference in the long run.

In our case, this sacrifice is our faction choice. You are NOT helping yourself or your side by playing your preferred faction. You’re making matters worse because your actions are slowing the process, which ultimately will end with the same results.

Blizzard isn’t concerned about the faction imbalance “yet”, because we haven’t reached the critical point “yet”, so the only way to reach this critical point is by further increasing and accelerating the imbalance, there’s no way around this. Maybe you’re thinking about unsubbing, but unsubbing will not change anything, because you’re not showing Blizzard why you unsubbed. But changing your faction, however, will deliver a clear message to them, and that’s what you’re looking for.

I know many people will dislike this approach. But like I said complaining or unsubbing will not change anything.

From a former one…
My best regards to all Alliance players! :blue_heart:

No blizz could actually balance stuff to where people would want to play the alliance more.
Blizz could put equal effort in design for the alliance as the horde (i.e. less horses more variety)

Blizz is to blame for this for their racial power imbalance and such, not hte players

Alliance players have been upset for the last ten years, the term “Horde bias” become a meme, and nothing else has changed since. So, do you truly believe that complaining alone will change anything?

ion wants to keep the factions and they cant really fix it.

LOL Horde making a faction imbalance post. First off, us Alliance can complain and whine all we want. It is funny though how hard the horde cries whenever the Alliance finally get something better. Look at the mechagnome racial. Horde bombed the forums crying even though their Zandalari had an OP racial along with still having the best racials overall by A LOT.

We have offered solutions but devs all play horde.

I’m a former Alliance player that chose to change my faction until things get better, and my only purpose with that message is to give a different approach to handle this matter.

the only way to fix faction embalance is to just get rid of the alliance.

So you aid the faction imbalance while making a thread to try and help against the imbalance?

All that means to the company is you want to play the other faction. It really doesnt do anything else.

I am doing my part this next expansion and will not raid on the alliance side anymore. I will only raid on the horde side.

hmm interesting. you may be on to something or you may not. how will we know its working if they just make fake alliance to take our places?

Or get rid of Ion.

That’s the actual solution. The first step to fix the faction imbalance is by making it more noticeable. Blizzard keeps ignoring the matter because we haven’t reached the critical point.

As much as i hate it OP isnt wrong in that regard though, if one day the alliance playerbase vanished overnight the devs would ACTUALLY have to do something other than timegating content.

I’m confused - are you talking about racial ability imbalance? I guess a few are kinda’ imbalanced, but I don’t think they really make that big of an impact when it comes to deciding which faction wins in a standard pvp match. I suppose it affects the world first race or MDI events, but that’s about it.

If you’re talking about population, I laugh at that. The most recent census data i’ve seen show alliance at SLIGHT disadvantage with population: ~46% Ally vs ~54% horde (filtered to max level characters)

Archmage’s argument is that while Blizzard could do that, they won’t because they don’t see a problem yet. If everyone starts playing Horde then Blizzard might recognize a problem and work to fix it.

Blizz knows it exists already. There’s just no solution besides absolving factions. It’s just like how they dont want to change classes drastically again, they dont want to mess with people who’ve gotten used to it. They have no solution that wont damage the player base and not make tons of them quit or rage.

Does it? Any sources on this?

I don’t care about faction imbalance. Nothing you could do would make me play alliance again.
