- Personally I find people tend to frequently and heavily push headcanons of relationships to best-friends being partners a lot of times, whether it’s in games, tv shows or movies.
Whatever the case anyway, the thread was more-so who you’d go on a date with – so I presented such, regardless of who they may or may not be with at the time.

And eh idk I feel like the question is vague but one would have to see if the date can even happen first of all. Someone can wanna go on a date with Garrosh, but they aren’t gonna survive him frothing at the mouth the second he sees them because they aren’t an orc. Etc.

That’s why I said right out the gate I wouldn’t call it a “date” with A’dal, more like a chance for some information to be gleaned.
He can call it a date when he tells other people, though, if he wants to.
I personally hope it is. We need more best friends stories.
I do as well. And I find it annoying. Unfortunately, there are relatively few really good non-romantic friendships in media. And it feels like there are way to many people trying to take those few examples we have and push them as, or push to make them, romantic.
Personally, I think we need more examples of deep, completely non-romantic friendships in media.

There are a lot of good options to pick from.
I think for me, one of the top on the list is Ivar Bloodfang.
First is obviously because filthy furry, but also the dude would be -fascinating- to listen to. For a lord nerd like myself? I would just love to ask him about the Northgate Rebellion, view and history with Darius, who Gilneas worked in the past and in the present. The political situations of old Lorderon, etc. All from the viewpoint of a Jaded individual who doesn’t get much screen time. What does the world look like through his eyes?
I could spend ours listening to him and learning all about this fiction/real wold they have.

I had a buddy that flipped through a copy of a WoW book I had lying around… the one with Alexstrazsa all sad… and he was absolutely Gobsmacked.
He was struck by her beauty and sorrow.
I think it is one of the illustrations in the hard cover of Twilight of the Aspects. Where she is all sad.

Just the one date? Nathanos.
Every other character in WoW has the charisma of damp mush, but Nathanos has some damn bite to him. He’s got charm, he can banter, he can throw barbs (which I love to do), he’s got one of the most delightful voices in the game, and he’s the only male character in WoW who actually looks like he washes his beard.
We’d go on a hunting trip and hunt the REALLY big game. Like a Frost Wyrm. Or the entire Trade Quarter of Stormwind.

Among the guys, Khadgar would be a great choice for a culture date, like a play or opera, And Kael’thas knows how to treat a lady, but I’d connect better with Tyrande or … Sylvanas.

Hate to rain on anyone’s parade, but aren’t most of these characters taken/in relationships or aggressively selective about one type?
Tyrande and Malfurion are MARRIED, as are Thrall and Aggra, Nathanos goes full petty jerk on anyone not named Sylvanas Windrunner - who he’s monogamous with, I don’t see Garrosh going for a non-Orc… you get the idea.
All that aside, Shandris seems like she’d be up for a wild adventure date or a casual romantic date, so her. Woman’s been through a lot and stood strong, it’d be good to giver her the chance to unwind at some Stormwind Gala or Mount Hyjal. Same for Tess Greymane.
If I had to choose a more fantastical WoW character, then Mylune.
