Which unique items from classic remain irreplaceable?

Seems like there were a few pieces from AQ and Naxx that were BIS even toward the end of TBC. Trinkets and rings I think, but can’t recall what they were.

There anything that I should be considering a last minute push for, as a balance or feral druid in classic right now?

Darkmoon card: Blue Dragon is still very good in TBC for spirit based healers.

For a resto? Probably just BD trinket. Brooch is good for lots of classes but probably not a resto unless your moonglow.

For pretty much every physical dps class Mark and Badge will be situationally BIS well into, if not throughout TBC

The shield trinket from Viscidus or badge of the swarm gaurd armor pen.

Basically any trinket in BWL/AQ40/Naxx that mostly retain their crazy flat numbers or % based increases.

Darkmoon Card:Heroism is still decent for Feral, coupled with the … PVP trinket in Hellfire Penninsula. Makes for good self-heals when soloing.

The combination ain’t bad for Rogues, Enhancement Shaman, and 2H Warriors, either.

I was almost positive that they converted all flat values into rating. Are there exceptions? I know that some flat items would be BIS, if they hadn’t been turned into rating

Armor Pen, Attack power, Spell Power all stay the same.

Block %, Parry %, Dodge %, Hit %, Crit%, Spell hit% etc get converted.

But some items like the Scarab Brooch still remains 15% of heals added as a stacking shield remain.

Then things like armor set bonus’ and talent % stay as a percent to scale with the character. I.e. 4 piece dreadnaught still retains the 5% hit with taunts, and Thundering Strikes for shamans melee still remains 5% melee crit.

Many of them get nerfed/changed however. The priest T2 3pc gets knocked down to a flat 20 mp/5 for example

Wolf’s head helm combined with powershifting remains a feral kitty’s bis item. I think that’s the only truly irreplaceable item from classic going into tbc

Neltharion Tear is still considered BiS for a long time in TBC and is one of the only trinkets with spell hit to fill any hit-cap gaps you get when upgrading.

Theres at least 2 spell hit trinkets you get right off the bat. Arcanists stone gives twice the hit rating as Tear with an on-use spell damage effect and theres another similar one from rep. Tear will get replaced pretty fast by DM Crusade, the Alchemist Stone, or your class trinket once you hit SSC, and if you need +hit you can always grab the rep one.

So wrong

25 is not double 16, and 44 sp > that on use, nef tear still better.

hop on over to 70upgrades and check phase 5 BiS trinkets for both fire and arcane. Nef tear is #2 for fire, #3 for arcane. and thats in phase 5

They’re probably wrong, they often were at sixtyupgrades for classic to the point they’re kind of a meme in the warrior discord (Claw is better than THC. Shadowflame boots are BIS!) And that was for Classic that had way more testing… And clearly their system is particularly bad at evaluating (on use) trinkets. They list Kiss of the Spider as having an “EP” of 40… but DFT as a 96. That’s beyond laughable…

For a trinket that you’re slotting specifically for +hit, Arcanist’s or Scryer’s stone (with +32 hit) are better. If you’re looking for output/overall value from trinkets there are much better options.

Its definitely not better than the class trinket in P5 or DM: Crusade, Icon or Sextant And its arguably worse than Mag’s eye, Quag’s eye and several others.

It’s an honest mistake, no shame in it. You should just use a more reliable site in the future or even better, figure it out on your own.

Agree with above. Seventyupgrades isn’t good with trinkets with effects. The tear is a very good trinket but only slightly eclipses easy options at seventy and will be replaced by T5. It’s certainly not as good as icon because the on use effect can be combined with other cd and base spellpower is almost the same. You’d use that and phylactery trinket for most bosses in p1.
