So I wonder if people already figured out which buff is best for each specs? Better off knowing now to be as helpful as possible.
All the buffs
Gift of the Red Dragonflight – Upon successfully parrying, dodging, or blocking an attack, the player unleashes a frontal cone of Fire Damage. The effect can’t trigger more than once per second.
Gift of the Bronze Dragonflight – Offers a stacking buff that grants 10% Haste per stack. The buff can stack up to 10 times, losing 1 stack upon each instance of damage received.
Gift of the Green Dragonflight – A player’s Direct Healing Spells grant a 10% Damage Increase buff that stacks up to 10 times while Direct Damage abilities grant a 10% Healing Increase buff that stacks up to 10 times. Upon casting either a Healing Spell or Direct Damage ability, 1 stack is lost. Both effects can be stacked at the same time.
Gift of the Blue Dragonflight – Upon not moving for 10 seconds, gain a stacking buff that increases all damage dealt by 10% The buff can stack up to 10 times, losing 1 stack rapidly with each movement.
I assume as a hunter or caster for example best is maybe the Blue Dragonflight buff? Unless your spec benefit a lot from haste.
For Melee like Ret or Warrior maybe Bronze Dragonflight is better since I doubt you can afford to not move at all for 10 seconds as a melee on many bosses and trash packs.
Hunters are in a lame spot with these buffs. Bronze does not do much and Blue takes a significantly long time to stack. If bronze also affected pet attacks (which Im pretty sure it does not) then BM would be useful for it. But as it stands right now, these are pretty lame for Hunters.
Tanks: Red
Disc Priest, and Blood DKs on bosses: Green
Literally everyone else: Bronze
Blue is worthless as it is now. It takes way too long to stack for how easy it is to lose them due to how much movement just comes standard with heroic dungeons, nevermind the protocol mechanics stacked on top of that
blue needs a rework. there’s too many times where you need to move and it takes like over a min and some change for full stacks. might need to drop it to like 30 seconds since you’re already standing for 10secs to get it running or just remove it lol.
Yep… I tried it and literally impossible to keep the stacks up.
In a call on discord with friends 100% usable you can tell them to wait for your stack to stack up and the heal know you won’t move unless 100% necessary, in such scenario then sure maybe but in a random pug? No way.
Blue still has some flaws but it’s 85% better and definitely the go to for arms, ret, and survival so far from testing it on my alts. There’s a couple of fights you’ll get boned by mechanics but if you play smart and have a tank that’s conscious of your buffs mechanics (aka not taking bosses for needless tours around the room) you’ll rip. I’m doing 65-80k DPS on bosses on all 3 toons primarily using the blue buff.
Blue went from impossible to use for my survival hunter to if I don’t use it I’m playing wrong, I like it I love to deal 60-80K DPS even though I’m not ultra well gear at all, this also nearly negate the down side of Twilight ooze mechanics since bosses die so fast.
SFK is a survival hunters dream with the blue buff. Other than Walden, if you put yourself in a smart spot you can just stand and hit the whole fight. 100k+ DPS on 2nd boss is a fun time
basically all range want blue buff except any that really benefit from haste, maybe locks?
priest healers want either green or blue
hpals want bronze or green
druids want green
rsham want bronze or green
melee want the bronze
all tanks want red
