Which spec is the ultimate dh killer?

I was going to main dh when i thought they would be opened up to more classes besides another blood elf. Since thats not the case im thinking of returning to my first class in retail rogue.

Its been awhile. Used to play assasin and outlaw(when it was good). With one button i can now attempt sub.

So which spec is best against dhs? Wanna target them in bgs.

No idea, frost mage maybe

I killed a DH on my Frost DK.

I reckon monk would be a good counter.
Disarm straight up
Wall when the DH goes up in the air and does that big dmg thing.
Good mobility / port to get around eyebeam.
Monk has 3 big cds on dmg reduction to cope with DH burst and some reflect the dps back
Out side of their CDs, DH is an easy kill…you just gotta put the brakes on em when they put the foot down…just like you would with feral and enh.
DH is easier because you can see when theyre bursting and its channelled things which is easy to interrupt / stun / disarm.
Rogues is just too buggy to bother with anymore IMO.

Warrior or Monk is going to be your best option, as none of the rogues fight DH on any even playing field.

DH HARD counters rogue with spectral sight. Outlaw used to be able to brawl against them, but Outlaw is basically unplayable in PVP in the current state of the class.

Just kill a dh in a kidney when they arent in blur its free.

Frost mage has my vote.

All 3 specializations hold their own in different ways. Any class can beat any class in pvp with proper knowledge.

There is no “ultimate dh killer”, that is a swayed opinion. Do what makes you happy in the end as you will have more of an enjoyable time.

  • Assassins do have direct damage via fatebound and spec talents despite contrary hearsay- don’t fall for the gas lighting.
  • Outlaw is solid and us Subtlety are holding our own among our peers as well.

Choose what stands out to you as each spec has different styles within their own trees instead of some “only finishers” nonsense.

I hate google for telling me its rogue. I lvled one and played it a bit in pvp and did knotice alot of dhs spectral sighting me out. Just thiught it was the gear difference

Assassination can do it but Assassination has to be careful not to waste defensive vanishes at the wrong time.

But frost mage is still the correct answer.

Outlaw rips DHs. LOS Spectral Sight. Disarm. Grapple out of Darkness so they can’t sit their immune. Gouge Eye Beam. Hold a Vanish for their flap thing. I don’t understand people on this forum sometimes. Use CCs and LOS. If you want to play WoW without playing WoW Retribution Paladin with the single button assistant is right there for you.

But since most DH are on the same wavelength as BM then Sub and Outlaw can pin ball them around.

But if you encounter a 2400+ rated DH you will know it quickly and it becomes an uphill climb against them for all three Rogue specs.

Right now DH, Ret and Hunters are overtuned so once they are tuned down then the balanced will swing the other way.

Haven’t pvpd 1v1 in a long time but subtlety used to do great. Dunno if they still have the stopping power / survival to live for a final burst or if DH just runs rogue down without blind sap to reset with.

How does 1v1 play out vs dh? Can anyone go into detail?
