Sort of a silly title but I’m wondering if there’s a PvP server with a large community maybe even guilds thinking a lot about TBC arenas. I’d like to level a toon somewhere that’s most likely to have access to like minded teammates / opponents, assuming that battlegroups will be a thing.

If TBC is announced, no one knows if they’ll be fresh or transfer servers.

only thing I will add, is there is a quote from Ion that if you are playing Classic it should be because you enjoy Classic and not because you want a reward in another game(referencing retail).
So if they do let you transfer Characters from Classic to TBC that seems like a pretty big reason to play Classic for another game and not because you play Classic. But that is just my interpretation of the quote, dont expect anything on TBC till after SL and/Naxx release.

There is no if, there is only when. As tight lipped as Blizzard is, they would not send out a survey asking people how TBC should be introduced if they hadn’t already decided that it would be introduced.

The idea that blizzard will select particular servers to progress into TBC is completely absurd and quite unfair to both the people who want to progress and those who don’t.
There are several ways to handle this that are a lot better than this.
So… I would get that idea out of your head lol.

I agree again but I hope blizz listens/learns from classics short coming on patch to raid difficulty. Mega severs , bots, etc.
I would take buffed content over the nerfed crap we got. Not that it would be hard but closer to the feeling then
None of them yet, also North America is a single battlegroup.
You may not remember, or just don’t know, but Arena in TBC requires your character is part of a team, you can’t leave that team or you drop your title rating.
This is why it’s best if you plan to play with more than your dedicated team to have more than one character, this is why again I’ll have 3 rogues, I have 2 now and working on my 3rd.
You mean what is the Blackrock/Tichondrius of Classic?
There will probably be a site sometime, a re-make of Arenajunkies. Or maybe people do this kinda stuff on discord now

Server-wise I dunno, probably one of the big ones like Faerlina
Blizzard won’t select it. The players will. If you are serious about arenas, you will all end up on the same few servers to have the best pool of potential teammates
In Vanilla, Blackrock and Tichondrius were known as THE premier arena pvp servers. If you weren’t in Battlegroup 9 (their BG), you weren’t crap
The hype was pretty real back then. We were rank 1 with around 95% win rate in our battlegroup, transferred to BG9 for better competition during wotlk. Couldn’t even break top 15 there (got stalled out between rank 20 and rank 15 and it actually broke our arena team up. Yep, BG9 broke us…). It’s also what made me quit WoW at that time, but I was already getting burnt out
Blackrock during wotlk had hundreds of Gladiators on it at one point. I was in a raid guild there in WOTLK that was 100% gladiators lol
This will probably happen again in TBC, until they eventually implement cross-server teaming
we just started AQ and you’re already talking about TBC? they have’nt even announced if it’s even a thing yet… and if it is, it’s a hell of a long time from now…
