Which Server For Horde?

Hey, just wondering which of the two servers has a higher/more active horde population? I understand Defias Pillager has significantly more Alliance and sits at medium population. I’ve made a horde character on both servers to check them out but am having trouble getting a good grasp. Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I’d heard skull rock was the horde server but idk, I just choose whichever is in my timezone lol.

There isn’t one. The only way to play Hardcore right now is Alliance Defias Pillager. I have a 47 and a 34 Horde on Skull Rock and it is dead, dead. Sure you can get groups at the lower levels, but finding an inner mara, or a ZF, even at peak times, is extremely difficult. Right now, Alliance Defias Pillager has about 500% of the population of Horde Skull Rock. It’s not even close. We’re not talking about 10-15% here. And Horde Defias Pillager is even less populated than Horde Skull Rock.

Horde HC is in real, real bad shape.

Granted, I’m sure people will flood in here talking about how populated Horde Skull Rock is, and how many guilds are raiding endgame content (two, btw) and how out of touch I am, as if I’m not currently playing it myself. But the reality is that there are zero good Horde options for HC.

This is part of a bigger issue of the Classic playerbase being so fragmented in general. We have Era, Hardcore, SoD and Cataclysm all going at the same time with two very popular private realms also popping off. The playerbase interested in playing this 20 year old MMO content is simply not large enough to support like 7 concurrent experiences and hardcore, perhaps the most niche of the options, is suffering the most for it.

Playing Alliance Defias Pillager is NIGHT AND DAY difference in activity to playing Horde anything, anywhere. You can certainly roll a character on Horde Skull Rock, and it might even feel pretty good while you’re in a low enough level range that the casual masses haven’t died yet. But once you start creeping up… you’re utterly alone. Some people like that, though.

For example, earlier this week I did some /who tests between Alliance DP and Horde SR. Alliance DP hit the 50 person /who cap between 51-52. Horde SR had 31 people when I did a /who 30-59. There were twice as many people at ONE LEVEL on Alliance DP than Horde SR had in a 29 level range.

The fun one

Lies. Skull rock horde is great. I see tons of people for every world buff, which happens almost daily. Lots of horde are playing.

There it is, right on time.

Surprised you didn’t use the word “thriving” or “tight knit”

it’s not the ghost town you’re making it out to be :expressionless: LFG is full of spam as well. very easy to get all kinds of groups. no reason not to roll horde on skull rock

Like I said, it’s pretty dead. Maybe we have different definitions of dead.

Go to Skull Rock and /who 40-50. Record the number.

Go to Defias Pillager and /who each level between 40 and 50. You’ll probably hit the 50 character limit several times.

The other day, Skull Rock had 31 people between 30-59 and Defias Pillager kept giving me the max 50 characters every specific level I tried through 40-50.

It’s likely, DP had 1000 people in that level range online and Skull Rock Horde had 31.

You do with those numbers what you like, and the people reading this thread can also make their own decisions.

I’d call that dead. And that’s the GOOD realm. Horde DP is worse than Horde Skull Rock, believe it or not.

Horde on Defais is bumping recently.

So many people die it’s glorious

The Horde playerbase is all about PVP. You’d prob find a lot of Horde on a pvp server. Alliance thrive in pve

Gnomes can’t even take back their home city. They get carried like pets.

Has nothing to do with the topic at hand, and is racist.
