I’m trying to decide which healer to play next and I’ve narrowed it down to these two. Which Restoration spec do you think brings more to the table for mythic+ and pvp?

Both are strong in M+
They are roughly equal aside from shaman having a interrupt/haste CD and druid having stealth/brez.
Hot’s vs Burst heals if the utility doesn’t decide for you.

Shaman also gives access to Ele, which is usually pretty solid in at least some content, and usually fun as well. But druids can turn into orcas, so it’s a wash.
Druids are a favored class. The long term happiness will be higher with Druid.

That is kinda what I was thinking. Plus I like leather mogs the best. Although I’ve never played a class with lust so that would be fun too.
I’ve got a zandalari troll druid at 60 and I loved playing it, but now after the added customizations I kinda wish it was a normal troll lol so if I went druid I’d probably relevel
- Battle Res stacks. Lust doesn’t.
- Druid might be currently less powerful but in general, they’re better. Plus on movement fights, there’s no contest.
- I love all the troll races but to me the zTrolls are the coolest look in the game.

For PvP both good with druid bringing more to table. In m+ shaman is leagues ahead of druid. Only one druid I done high keys with have I felt impressed. Rest do no damage and die often.

Hpally or Resto shaman
It’ll probably change next expac. HOWEVER! Hpally will still be good.
End of legion it was Rdruid /Hpally.
End of BFA it was Rdruid / Hpally.
Start of SL it was Hpally / Rshaman
Right now it is Rshaman / Hpally.
The future it is Hpally / something
No other healer can touch Hpally in high end content.
Anything +24 and lower is whatever and every healer is great.
Play what you think is most fun.

pvp wise think resto sham is the golden goose right now, but resto druid is not far behind, druid has way more survivablity but shaman has way more healing output, so take your pick, what ever one has the playstyle you like more, you can probably output more dps as a druid tho
sham has a lot of hard casting, vs druid that has a lot of instant casting,
sham has a better time with necro to get the shield, durid has convoke tho if you go that rout, Druid has stealth and form shifting, byt sham has totems and ghost wolf

Enjoy it. Its one of my favourite specs when you are smoothly shifting between shapeshifts and nailing it. Super cool class imo
I really love druid just becuse the utility they have is just so bloody nice - doing farming/gathering/world content is just so much smoother with the travel forms and stealths. I also do love resto healing as you have a couple of big cooldowns (if you go nightfae) which are fun to use, and the efflorescence is just a better healing rain.
That said I will probably pick up my shaman again as I do love their animations and the damage rotation is super fun. The playstyle of “spam riptide/healing wave” is a bit boring though, and their raid cooldown is just a big totem which isnt that fun to use.
