Which raid had the most creative layout?

What do you guys think had the most creative raid layout in terms of how bosses are placed and accessed? Also other factors like how we interact with the environment or even just accessing the raids to the way trash mobs are placed and presented.

Not sure but one dungeon that comes to mind is Grim Batol.

Just a huge underground city, like Ironforge but better, or Black Rock Depths.

Throne of the Four Winds was pretty creative. I guess

Karazhan will always be my favorite probably

Love the theme, layout, the red riding hood play, the chess match, all of it

I’ve always thought BWL was one of the best raids in terms of ambiance, boss encounters and trash density.

I thought that the premise of the firelands and the layout and bosses and boss fights were unique. Going up on the spiderweb, turning the giant stone monster around via dpsing his feet, flying around on the bird fight. Especially with how it was set up storywise and the dailies in mount hyjal/in the firelands. Not to mention the return of ragnaros

BWD only cuz it really gave us the freedom to fight whatever boss we wanted

Was nice for less skilled players cuz you could potentially nearly clear the raid by skipping the boss you couldn’t do til the end

BWL was the best raid this game ever had.

I thought Blackrock Foundry’s spectacle and how it’s laid out is very memorable.

Ulduar was the first one that came to my mind…

I agree with the Draenei, and the irony is we ONLY see Karazhan as the place is half broken down, and the half we do see intact is still a several story palace fit for a king.

Ulduar.

There was just something fun about the tram to Mimiron, and the reality bending descent to Yogg Saron

Bit of a party pooper here, but man do i miss the days of linier raids with a simple path killing one boss after the other to make your way to the end guy. Sometimes it hurts my brain when i go somewhere for a mog run and I’m trying to remember which damn portals or lifts i need to take, which NPC’s i need to speak to at different times just to progress my way through the bosses :woman_facepalming:

Naxxramas layout was quite interesting. geomterically a square, it split itself into wings very well. karazhan gets my vote overall, however. you can feel the ascension. Basement to spire.

I liked how Ulduar was done.
Lots of hype.

However for a quick good run of fun, I did enjoy:

  • Throne of the Four Winds (The air-swim was cool)
  • Obsidium Sanctum - (Quickly accessible & simple)
  • Onyxia’s Lair - (Quickly accessible & simple)
  • Vault of Archavon - (was just annoying it was locked behind PvP conquering)
  • Trial of the Crusader - (The twist at the end with the ground collapsing underneath was :ok_hand: )

I liked Siege of Org for its various environments, but Ulduar really had this insanely cool looking interior and the train was one of the coolest things I had seen in the game up to that point.

Tomb of Sargeras ending on the ship was really cool too. Not sure to be honest.

Sunwell.
