Which race is the richest in warcraft and why?

Just wondering.

In friendship? The Pandaren.

In gold? The Goblins.

In health? The Draenei.

In health in regards to replacement organs and limbs? Toss up between the Forsaken and Mechagnomes.

Orcs.

We have the second-best zone in the game, Nagrand.

Second best cause nothing has yet to surpass Grizzly Hills for me.

Mechagnomes. Have you seen our city and how technilogically advanced it is compared to the main settlements of all other races? Mechagnomes have actual irl modern day comforts, transportation, etc… but in WoW’s semi- medieval magical setting, while everyone else is mostly stuck in that medieval age bar Dwarves, Gnomes, and Goblins. Non of which get as close to modern comforts and riches as the Mechagnomes.

It super depends on what you mean by rich. Just outright money? For sure, the Goblins. The Cartels collectively own as much—If not more—than every other major power combined.

The Zandalari are a close second, given how they have such an excess of gold they can use it for common jewelry and architectural decoration.

Which apparantly crumbles in Saurfang’s hands.

The race with the most land is the rhichest race and their ressources are much more worthy then simply money.

So Humans, Night elves, Forsaken, Zandalar should be on the Top of the Foodchain.

Around the time of the Opulence fight, I’d say Zandalar, but they have since been blown up, raided, pillaged, and destabilized by the Alliance. Even Gallywix was envious. But they have fallen on hard times since then.

The Dwarves might be the sleeper candidates. They supposedly have mountains and caves filled with gold and gems and haven’t been raided or conquered by outsiders (Moira did have legitimacy by blood). Their relative stability might give them a certain security.

Have dwarves really been shown to be mining for gold? Its more about mining for titan artifacts than wealth.

Actual tangible resources aside, I would put a certain value in security.

Ironforge has largely been safe and secure, with mostly interior squabbles between the clans disrupting it. There is that one time the High King of the Alliance supplanted their legitimate royal heir, in favor of a Council… but it seems most of the actual residents of Ironforge were for that, as Moira’s powerbase comes from the Dark Irons.

If I think of an investment property in a major city over the course of say, the passed 40 years or so…

Stormwind, Capitol City/Undercity, Silvermoon, Theramoore, Gilneas City, Teldrassil, Dazaralor, Dalaran, Suramar - cities of note on Azeroth… Ironforge provides a record of security.

Being fair Suramar had a stellar saftey record for about 10,000 years. It was only super recent it had its run in with the legion. The city is still nearly perfect as well, and still retains all the wealth and magical knowledge of the old Kaldorei Empire.

Moira may have viewed herself as legitimate, but she was also Dark Iron, and it can’t be emphasized enough that the Dark Irons created a crapton of bad blood between themselves and the other two clans. Not that the Ironforge and Wildhammer Clans were always hunky dory between themselves either. Varian instituted a power sharing compromise which brought at least a working relationship between all three and I believe that they’re all better off for it… and if I remember correctly, so does Moira.

Not to mention all of the damage caused by the Blood Trolls and the betrayal by one of their highest placed. But I doubt that the Alliance took away so much that they’re reduced to beggary. It’s still very much the City of Gold… the racial says so!

Yes I’m still working on unlocking Azeroth’s original Paladin race.

No one can deny the technological sophistication of the Mechagnomes, but Im pretty sure they dont have space travel.

The Mechagnomes are isolationists and a very tiny civilization. The Draenei are a refugee civilization. The Goblins are a massive culture founded on Mercantilism. We have yet to experience Undermine and even the backwater settlements we have seen are among the wealthiest in Azeroth.

Yes, they have a wealth of gold, but much of it is in the form of cultural riches, not so much liquid capital.
