Wowhead points in 10 directions at once and is likely outdated for this. I can’t seem to find a clear answer anywhere. I just want to to the minimum possible to get to the mount. Anyone know what achieves/questlines I should be doing?
Do I need to collect all the thingies for Dalaran (Tidestone et al), do I just need the broken shore meta achieve? Do I need Argus at all?

IIRC the class hall mount quest line starts on Broken Shore. If you don’t get a breadcrumb quest from there then you’ll probably have to do your orderhall first.
I don’t think so. Again, IIRC, you could get your mount before Argus was even available.
Hmm. Sound like I may have missed a quest on broken shore. There’s one there to hunt down a demon thief who makes off with chests but I assumed it wasn’t relevant since it seems like a side mission but perhaps it’s required.
Did you get the achievement “Breaching the Tomb” on the character you’re trying to get the mount on? I believe that’s a requirement.

Thanks for the link. Turns out that achieve is no longer required on each toon. Thank God for that at least. Now I just need to figure out what else I’m missing.
As much as I can remember, you’ll need to finish your class campaign in its entirety before you can move on to the Broken Shore/Mount quest chain. Then you’ll need to do Breaching the Tomb, which has the Sentinax quest which makes me cry.
Well apparently you don’t need to do breaching the tomb anymore. But my class order hall quests have petered out. I have none left. Not sure what to do.
Hmm…I would still do the Broken Shore quest chain, but that’s just me. I would at least try it, but you can always submit a ticket/contact support (which can be a royal pain these days) and see if you can get an answer that way.

Yea I did all I could find on the broken shore. I even uploaded my toon to wowhead to check completion chains but it seems to be buggy and doesn’t work properly. Guess I gotta just take wild stabs at what I can vaguely remember and hope for the best.
I am not sure how to help but I wish you luck. I tried to help a friend get theirs recently and Blizzard has only made the process far more clunky and difficult with the squish and ‘fixes’.
Now I do recall that you don’t need to do the Cathedral quest. That was a good thing, lol. I think you also get a campaign quest if I’m not mistaken at the Broken Shore, and that’ll be your last champion.
Memory is very fuzzy though.
Hmmm. I’ve come across an Illidan quest that doesn’t appear to be listed as part of the order hall campaign but it was a subsequent quest of one. I’m guessing this is maybe what I need to do. Need to spam 5 legion dungeons for shards.
Welp. I finished all of the Illidan quests and once again…nothing. Tried to lookup the Power Ascended thing but that just confused matters further. We really need to come up with a current guide that accounts for all the changes post 9.2. Back to groping in the dark.

You have to finish the class order hall campaign then you head over to broken shore to pick up the quest that lets you have another follower and increase the follower cap after that you gotta go back to broken shore until you see an npc from your hall that sends you back to the hall to start the class mount quest. So basically if you completed class hall and unlocked the follower cap then just go back to broken shore.
That’s part of the issue though. I have no idea how to complete the order hall. What classifies as completing it? Do you still need to do all the research?
all order hall quest should be labeled as “class” campaign in your quest log, since you’re a lock it would be Warlock Campaign, if you have none then you might have to go back to the order hall and accept a quest there and make sure you have “Trivial Quest” checked on your minimap by right clicking on it so you can see the quest icons.
Unfortunately I tried all of that. I got nothing. I can only assume the research tiers are still required. I’ll know more in a few days once the research is complete.
Do you have all 7 followers unlocked on your mission table? That requires completion of the Champions of Legionfall quest.
The questgiver in your class hall who is trying to get you to get the other artifacts may also be trying to give you another class hall quest.
A further update to this. I finally figured it out! It took downloading the BTWQuests addon and trawling through seemingly unrelated quest story branches to finally figure out that there was some rando quest in Deepholm of all places that had completely blocked all order hall progress! Arrrrrrrrrrrrrg! The clue was that on the Deepholm map there were 2 quest markers. One greyer yellow than the other. The other marker was a slightly more vibrant shade of yellow which gave me the clue that it was a more recent old quest compared to the original Deepholm zone story questline. Upon checking it out, the rest of my shaman order hall progress suddenly was able to be continued!
Yeeesh. That was a PITA to figure out! But I got my elemental mount now!
