Which profession has the best/most useful QoL in your opinion?

I know the crafting professions don’t really represent much of a bigger advantage nowadays, and I’ve been thinking about swapping Alchemy for something else.

I don’t really care about making gold with them, so it boils down to which one has the most useful QoL features. Alchemy seems okay with the potions and flask durations, but I’ve been wondering about the other professions.

Only prof that comes to mind for QoL aside from alchy with the pots/flask duration is engy. Tis not making huge piles of gold, there are ways if you are clever. Tons of gadgets/toys. Tis the most mobile of the professions thanks to the various wormholes. Only beaten by mages in that regard.

+1 for Engineering. You’ll make very little gold with it but the stuff you can make with it will definitely help you out.

Engineering. Almost for the wormhole devices alone, if you have any need to visit old content zones. Also, looterang has saved my open-world looting bacon on many occasions. (Since, for instance, currencies and quest items don’t get mailed to you if you can’t reach a corpse to loot.)

The synergy with engineering and being a hunter has been variously strong. Like in vanilla through WotLK, being able to make your own ammunition. And always, being able to make your own weapon.

Collectors get a lot of value out of the mounts, pets, toys, and transmogs an engineer can produce.

Ty for the answer!

I saw that in TWW, engineering does have some interesting stuff like the potion injector and other things that may be handy.

Though I plan to keep alchemy I’m ditching herbal for engineering myself seems fun to me with all the toys and such.

That could be an option for me too!

I’m currently using Herbalism, but I find gathering a boring chore really. I’d rather solo old stuff and sell the loot or do other things to get gold and buy mats.
