I only got enough points to get one of these. Should I get Expansive Mind lvl 1, which gives me 50 more max Sanity or Clear Sight lvl 1 which allows me to see treasure chests?
Is sanity an issue for you in visions? If so, increase sanity. If not, go for loot.
It really doesn’t matter.
MOTHER talents aren’t meant to be like a regular talent tree, where choosing one, excludes the other.
You will eventually get all of them, so just follow your gut and pick which one you think will be helpful to your experience.
If you play solo, go left, if you play in a group, go right.

I got Clear Sight lvl 1. What’s the difference between the levels?
It allows you to see treasure in the deeper parts of the vision. Rank one is where you start. Rank two is the second type of area, rank three is the darkest parts.
I wish you could “respec” because I wasn’t paying attention to this and went to the right first, even though I only play solo.

You have to get clear sight 3/3 to go further down
Go down the tree as FAST as possible. The 200 sanity on elite kill literally got me from 3 chesting to FULL clear 5 chesting Org solo.
You have to progress through the treasure trait in order to get the one that restores sanity on elite kills.
The treasure trait is amazing too though. The chests in the lost areas are 150 mementos each.

Blizzard knows how to make me fail things, give me shiny things to chase after mid run. Then i am left panicking cause my insanity is low and i can either kill big dude or go after shiny.
do you see treasures on the map or are they hidden?
I have never found a treasure yet…just got 3/3 so maybe next run!
I do not pay attention to map, so Idk if they pop up on minimap or not, i usually just spot them here and there.
Also question for people: the liquid vials, do they always do the same thing every run. Like will the black vial always screw me over and the red one buff me or is it just random.
I’ve just found them on the ground, never checked the map. In Org there is one near the guild vendor area and another on the trail behind Thrall’s area forget the names of the areas. Found others but don’t remember the exact location
They don’t show up on the map. They have fixed spawns but they’re not all up at once, there’s at least 2 per zone usually.
Just go down the tree. THe treasure chest one is pretty useless, but it allows you to pick the 200 refund sanity one.
Don’t go right if you’re doing them solo. Just keep going down the tree. Eventually you will be forced to get ALL of them. But that can wait until you reach the last talent which is extremely powerful.
The treasure chests are definitely not useless, they near enough double the number of mementos you get per run if you can grab the majority of them, which makes getting to all the other research and earning sockets way faster.
I’m not going to waste sanity looting chests when I could be completing an entire zone.
