This is just my two cents here but Neither. 2 Options in gaming imo and VA is not one of them. VA panels are dead imo. Cant stand the ghosting. VA is cheaper but you get washed out colors compared to Nano IPS and HORRIBLE viewing angles that why most VAs are curved now days. Its marketing lies that its for immersion. Its so you dont notice the horrible viewing angles and color fading the further you ,go from the center of the screen. Nano IPS colors REALLY pop.
Option 1- OLED Best you can buy but VERY Pricy. 2023 is the year of OLED monitors. Its the Future of gaming monitors. Fastest response times and best picture on the market hands down. No other panel compares to OLED. OLED is also the best HDR experience imo.
Option 2- Nano IPS Best Colors and more affordable
LG imo has one of the best Nano IPS screens on the market. AMAZING colors!

If you can afford more and want to go OLED? Here is one of the top selling OLEDs

A cheaper and better OLED option that most gamers are using atm is the 42" LG C2. GREAT if your rig can handle 4k gaming.

If you HAD no choice but to choose one of the two you listed? The MSI. Gigabyte is a nightmare to deal with when it comes to RMAs. I mean they still wont admit their power supplys explode
