So i can’t decide on a Mage spec/hero talent combo. Which are you liking most? I usually play Frost or Arcane. Sunfury Arcane is fun but looking for an alternative. I like Frostfire - it looks great- but it doesn’t seem tuned as well. And I’ve tried Spellslinger and that one seems underwhelming on visuals and effectiveness. Let me know what you are enjoying.
I’m liking FF Fire with SKB even though it’s pretty badly undertuned. Feels like there’s always something to press/do compared to Sunfury where it just feels super anemic outside of casted Combust. If they can figure out how to tune Living Bomb it should shape up to be really fun.

Pretty much exactly the same as you. I am playing Sunfury Arcane and having a blast. Frostfire Frost is also fun but as you say a bit undertuned and I generally prefer Arcane over Frost. Spellslinger is just super underwhelming to me both in terms of visuals and with how it plays though it’s mechanically sound at least. Fire, of course, is in shambles rn but if it wasn’t I think it would work really well with either of its two hero specs.

Personally, I’m really likening how Frostfire feels… until I look at the damage meter. With proper tuning I think FF will be a home run. If you like Arcane, Sunfury is doing well, despite the nerf via bug fix, from what I understand.

I’m playing sunfury arcane since it would be griefing my guildies to play anything else…
So glad by far the most boring spec/hero talent combination is the best one great job blizzard…
I have been an arcane spell slinger since they announced the hero talents and I’m all in! It’s everything I wanted.

I’ve been enjoying frostfire on frost quite a lot but yes its garbo at the moment. spellslinger frost is painfully boring, i already disliked ice lances and the entire thematic is more ice lances but this time their wavy
spellslinger arcane is way more interesting imo, and sunfury im mixed about cuz im so over pets. why does this random bird get to cast these spells and not me man
I’ve been playing arcane spellslinger and frost Frostfire and have been having so much fun. Not to mention I top the meters every time (not that any real content is out yet)

I’m playing Arcane Spellslinger and I intend to stay that way for the fantasy of the specialization.
I’m liking how this tree just enhances our arcane gameplay and also the visual effects match an arcane wizard.
As an arcane Spellslinger mage, I feel like an expert in Arcane Missiles, due to the visual effects. And that’s good because Arcane Missiles is my favorite spell.

Honestly, I feel like most don’t even know how to play arcane sunfury optimally anyway to make the difference. But number tuning will happen.
Arcane slinger is giving me great fun.

Why is it Garbo? I have heard that frost FF is second only to Arcane Sunfury in terms of damage output. and its #1 overall for PVP specs. I am loving it because I have been looking for an instant cast caster that wasnt BM Hunter. The damage seems on point to me. I just destroy stuff with a constant barrage of instants
Yep. I love Spellslinger Arcane even though it isn’t as flashy as Frostfire and Sunfury.

My mage alt is only in the mid 70’s, but I am loving her as Frostfire Frost. It’s been an absolute riot for me entertainment wise.

I spec’d into SpellSlinger Arcane last night for a LFR.
Surprisingly I enjoyed it. Was fun. However, I did see my dps number go down like 10%, but I overall was happy with the result.
Also you dont really need Weak Auras for Spellslinger.
