Which Mage Spec Is Easiest

hit the glowing button is too hard.

Fire has always been largely gear dependent. If you are planning on doing mythic+ Frost is more than competitive at higher keys.

Easily my biggest problem with frost. Munching Ice Lance procs feels so bad

Especially at higher haste when the frostbolt GCD is making me miss my ice lance procs lol.

I personally enjoy frost more. It has great synergies with its abilities and can hold its own a lot of the time. Its bursts are great and can provide tons of extra help during certain boss/fight mechanics with its slows and immunities.

More of a bias answer, but yea frost is my go to in terms of mage.

How is frost in a raid environment? Mainly heroic raiding. Not sure if I’ll do any mythic raiding at this point.

with the new re-design, its inevitable.

Definitely frost imo. Fire and Arcane are not easy idc what anyone says.

Fire/Arcane are also not fun to play in keys either imo. Frost is the most fun but frozen orb and blizzard can ruin it if your tank needs to move a lot.

The reroll spec

Mana gem you use when you run out of mana, Radiant spark is a passive ability…Small burn rotations is the rest of what I just said…IT really is as easy as I said it was lol.

False.

False.

Also false.

It’s amazing how you made 3 points and all of them are wrong.

MAna gem is just like a healthstone for your mana…How do u not use mana gem to gain mana? is this a gotcha moment where u say ohh u create the gem before the battle? no one cares dude its the same difference.

Mana Gem is currently used as a spell damage buff, not as a Mana regen, because Arcane Mages don’t have problems with Mana management. That’s the main use for the Gem, primarily in ST rotation.

As for the rest of the Arcane rotation, I’m by no means an expert and it would take several paragraphs to explain to you the entire Arcane rotation.

I won’t do that, but I would advise you to study up on it instead of speaking about things you have absolutely no clue about.

All I’m saying is I played a arcane mage before and literally spammed one move with blue gear on a heroic raid and got #9 in Dps… so you can say it’s not that easy if you want but if I got that far with spamming one move… it’s that easy. Plain and simple.

In my opinion, as someone who only ever plays my mage as a third-string alt, Frost is the hardest to mess up. I don’t know what Frost’s skill ceiling is like, maybe it’s hard to perform at the highest level, but you can perform at a mediocre level with frost with no problem, whereas if you mess up combustion on Fire or do literally anything wrong with Arcane, you’re in trouble.

No, you’re misleading players, while knowing absolutely nothing about the class you’re speaking of. The difference between someone doing the proper rotation and whatever you just described is astronomical. I doubt that’s what the OP was asking for when he asked for the “rotation”.

As for your little raid encounter, either your group had a lot of dead weight, or there were only 9 DPS in it.

It’s subjective.

Personally I think Arcane is the easiest for leveling because it’s literally one button for single target, a different button for aoe, and if you want to get fancy you can press a third button to run faster.

At endgame, Frost is definitely the easier spec.

Arcane requires understanding a major burst rotation, a minor burst rotation, and a “i’m not currently using any cooldowns” rotation.

Fire requires careful management of charged abilities near-to and during your cooldown window and arguably requires addons if you’re playing Sun Kings Blessing.

Frost currently plays the same in and out of it’s cooldowns. Even if it has more buttons than fire nowadays, it’s consistency is easier to pick up and play with.

You spam arcane missiles, use arcane orb to up your arcane charges when it’s full and you have more arcane orbs you throw out one arcane barrage but your arcane orbs determine the strength of your arcane missiles, use evocation when you run out of mana… have a gem ready. I’ll admit I wasn’t aware of it bringing extra damage though. From what I know the gem gives you 25% extra mana. .All the other moves take half a second to cast… so yeah once again spam arcane missiles until you need to use your orb or barrage… bravo mage.

Clearly you’re delusional and won’t listen to reason. So unless you’re willing to budge I’ll sum it up for you.

You know nothing about the proper Arcane Mage rotation.
You should not speak on or give advice on topics you know nothing about.

My advice to the OP is to disregard everything this person has said in this topic.

YOu said I dont know anything about the spec, you than admit you know nothing about the spec then try to lecture me on giving you the rotation of the spec after saying I dont know the roatation…You’re clearly delusional and wont listen to reason…kek
