Almost the same price. $2k here in Canada which would you get?
[Legion 5i Pro Gen 6 (16") - Storm with a 3060 gpu
Or
ASUS ROG Strix G17 Gaming Notebook - 17.3’’ FHD 300Hz AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX, RTX 3070, 16GB DDR4, 1TB SSD - Windows 10 Home**
Would love any advice on which one to buy!
Huge fan of ASUS as I have one myself. I’ve had it since the beginning of 2019 and I have had no issues with it and it’s borderline indestructible.

Things I never thought about until after I bought an i7 laptop:
Backlit keyboard? Numerical keypad? How many USB ports? Can plug in monitor? USB-C port? Battery easily removable? (mine isn’t, gotta take whole back off, same for adding memory) Bluetooth?
On mine I was unhappy in the place where power cord plugs in.

Whichever laptop comes with parental controls that prevents “herp derp did you do 10 keys this week” threads.

I’d much rather read his posts than the crap you spew, Beak.

Oh no did he hurts your kween’s feeling?
The ASUS laptop , as it has 3070 , and a Ryzen 9. Also if you can ,I would recommend upgrading this laptop to have 32 gb of ram (but if you are just playing wow or most games your probably fine).

Macbook pro 14"
Queue the downvotes…but I played around 2 hours at 130 fps and my battery went down about 18% during that time.
The Asus one. RTX 3070 is sweet!

Computers are something where you want to get better hardware now so it will stay good and up to date for longer

Ketchup chips?!
I love tomatoes, so I have to try those!
I’d go with the ASUS based on my experience with them.
I bought this ASUS laptop below off of Amazon for $1800 just a couple weeks over 3 years ago, and it’s still going strong. It’s very good at running WoW at 100FPS most of the time with just a few tweaks upwards from the standard graphics 9 WoW setting, and the one you are looking at has much better hardware, so I’d bet you can run at max settings:

One thing I’d strongly recommend is a laptop cooler, as I’ve found they seem to really help keep them cool (bottom is cool to the touch) and hopefully has contributed to extending their lifetimes. The one I got is no longer available but you can get them off of Amazon or other places for around $25. Just be sure they are sized for a larger laptop.
I also use 3M Dual Lock (sort of an industrial sort of velco but really interlocking matching plastic strips) to ensure the laptop doesn’t slip around on top of the cooler. And then more dual lock on my lap desk that bridges my recliner chair arms, so I can game in total comfort, because that’s just the sort of bovine that I am.

Asus can’t get anymore online they are in store only rip
I say get one that has high Storage Capacity, Better Graphics Card, Better Ram Card, and etc for like Windows 11. I know they are very expensive but it’s ether that or should try to find a computer that is more better than a laptop unless if you want just a laptop in general.
Alienware m17r4 3070 - also in Canada for about 2100
Or the Lenovo legion 5i pro 3070 for 2100
Probably the best deals I can find so far online
Ordered a Lenovo legion 5ipro

Thanks for all the help!
I’m in the market for a good headset under $100 if anyone has recommendations.
I listen to music and podcasts as I play, so I just want a good sound. I’m not concerned with mic quality.
I’d go with the ASUS one. BUT, get a good cooling pad. It will get hot, really hot.
///edit///
My comment is now irrelevant. I’d still get a good cooling pad.
