I think the Acer is the stronger laptop of the two, but I want to see what others say.
I would get the Acer simply because I own an older model and I have no complaints.
This will be much faster for WoW.
You’re gonna want to check individual performance reviews for each one. On paper specs for laptops don’t necessarily mean much. Even two with the exact same paper specs can perform wildly differently due to BIOS, power limits, thermal solutions, etc.
There’s no easy answer for laptops.
For most games the ASUS will be faster because of the 3050 ti vs the 3050 on the Acer. The 6800H vs the 12500H depends on the thermal limits on the laptop model (hence the mixed reviews). Given all things equal it’s a wash between the 2 CPUs in most games today. WoW will like the AMD CPU architecture more at this time.
Everything mentioned so far will run Dragonflight well. The open-box will possibly be the best since it has a 3060. Pushing those high frame-rates may not be hard either since I’m guessing “Full HD” means 1080p.
I’m 99% sure mine is an i5-9300H processor with a GTX 1650 and it plays Dragonflight perfectly fine. I paid $599 for it almost 3 years ago because I wanted a cheap laptop thinking I’d rarely use it but I’m on it all night at work. Settings probably aren’t cranked though but you’d be able to with just about anything current like you’ve listed.
I also missed on your first post that the 2nd laptop had a 3050 ti. If you have a Micro Center local I’d check their website too.
nice.
was looking at the service manual of that laptop and you can add/upgrade the SSD and RAM… if you are adventurous…
Look into the Lenovo Legion 5 pro. You can get one with a 3060 or 3070 for close to the same price as these on Amazon. I have a Lenovo Legion 5 Pro 16" with a RTX 3070 and love it.
Also keep in mind AMD 7000 series mobile chips are being dropped in laptops and about to go live in Feb and shortly after Nvidia 4000 series mobile GPUs are being added too.
So you may want to hold off for a bit till 7000 series laptops with nvidia 4000 series mobile GPUs hit the market or you may experience instant buyers remorse when they drop. I say hold off for a bit so you get more bang for your buck. As a side note when they drop all 3000 series laptop prices will plumit
