I am new to this game and I am in love. I play horde undead just because I love characters like undead. I saw cinematic about proudmoore how she met his brother on the ship as one of the horde leader says that horde has sickness in it, I feel like betrayal is coming in horde. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=854OCcW6CBc
Anyway I want to discuss which is stronger horde or alliance what you guys think. Overall power I saw map and alliance has more land I think but The Dark Lady Sylvanas just burned the ââhopeââ tree. I feel like horde is WAY more destructive than alliance.
Horde is stronger but due to story reasons/purposes Horde is portrayed a lot weaker than it actually is and actually Alliance are often times seen as stronger since Blizzard likes to turn Alliance leaders into demi gods(Jaina,Anduin,Tyrande). Velen is the only one thatâs extremely powerful and that we can probably say really is that powerful, Malfurions actual power is probably debatable though. But in reality Horde is actually stronger.
Gameplay, horde has a higher number of better rated players. Horde also has more players at max lvl. And best guilds.
As far as the story goes horde are portrayed strong at first but start to decline. Alliance seems weaker at first but now appear to be stronger.
It takes the entire Horde army all in to deal withâŚ
The Darnassus City Guard and Malfurion, plus night elf civilians. And the Horde loses 8 soldiers for every night elf combatant killed.
And they STILL almost lose if Saurfang hadnât pulled a dues ex machina.
The Horde is getting pummeled in this âtotalâ war, to the point where even the doom cheerleader Blightcaller says theyâre weeks out from utter collapse, despite all the dirty tricks and dramatic McGuffins employed. The whole Horde.
If there was a question, I sorta think itâs been answered.
The Unseen Path along with Hati are the strongest.
I dont think the alliance has much room to complain about that when it was stupid luck that saved Anduin and his entire attacking force at the Undercity.
Kid couldnt command a herd of kittens
Eh. If Sylvanasâs CLEVER plan hadnât depended on no one being able to teleport or cleanse blightâŚ
And Alleria with her void portals is standing RIGHT THEREâŚ
And Anduin hadnât sent the bulk of the Alliance army out of Undercity beforehandâŚ
Maybe it would have been a problem. The idiot ball knows no faction boundaries.
Horde strong. Alliance weak sissies.
Orc lift big rock. Human not lift.
Human lift chicken. Many weak.
Be strong. Not weak.
Alliance are the best.
Itâs liek pandoraâs box but backwards
You look like my mount.
And somehow despite all those mistakes dumb luck saved the alliance.
Despite knowing about the blight and knowing damn well shed use it Anduin showed up to combat her with zero means to combat the blight. Had Jaina, fresh from throwing a tantrum at Dalaran, not come out of left field completely unexpected the alliance wouldve lost miserably
Alliance looked stupid and stupid luck saved them all the same. I think thats called âplot armorâ
I mean, we also technically have a starship with a death laser.
In terms of loreâŚ
I think it terms of pure military strength, the Alliance is stronger due to its unity and efficiency. Sort of âtraditionallyâ strong. Individually however, they may falter in one on one fights, or asymmetrical warfare. Too much unity can make you rigid and nonreactive.
The Horde is a little more diverse and flexible, with pockets of considerable stand-out strength. Good battle winners and âwarriorsâ, but their disunity and such may make them have to work harder to win a true war.
Both sides have strengths and weaknesses.
Story-wise, Alliance is way stronger at the moment, especially after the Battle of Dazarâalor. Horde has the advantage of a Warchief willing to win at any cost, including using weapons of mass destruction and seeing her own people as expendable. But in terms of technology and especially naval power, the Alliance has decisive advantages.
If Saurfang hadnât pulled a smugglerâs route that the night elves somehow hadnât scouted despite living in the area for LITERALLY ten thousand years from thin air, the ENTIRE HORDE ARMY would have been flattened by the night elves alone, as per the novellas.
Plot Armor and the Idiot Ball are still unifaction.
Yup. So it seems both sides get their fair share of it
Best part is, there are several Cata Darkshore quests that take you near that path, and it was a route that Legion forces took during the 3rd War.
The Night Elves had no excuse for not knowing it was there.
Lifts tree with one hand and GâHanir with the other
Easy to lift a tree when itâs ashes.
So you burnt down DazarâAlor? This is a tree from those massive jungles, and I donât think you would enjoy getting hit in the head with it
