Which Glad season do you respect?

See a lot on the forums where they just LoL a S1 S2 Shadowlands Glad Achievement as well as BFA Glad achievement

what season do you guys respect or acknowledge that took some high skill set to achieve?

Anything before bfa season 1

I think thats a weird question to ask because there have always been overpowered comps that felt a lot more forgiving than usual in almost every season that I can recall. Personally, I can’t give you an answer saying that “season X was the most respectable season because of this and that”. There hasn’t been a perfectly balanced season devised yet for PvP where everyone is on an absolute equal playing field playing w/e they want in order to succeed or reach their level of expectations.

Players that played off meta comps and did well in those seasons (glad and beyond) would have obtained a lot of respect during those respective seasons, or similarly players that have played good comps at an extraordinary level would be given that sort of respect. Can’t really think of any season that made a diverse set of comps feel ultra challenging or encouraged some inexorable strategy to win games unless the meta was extremely restrictive to a select few only.

every season has a cheese comp basically so it’s more so what comp was played/class. also if the person is arrogant about their achievement while playing something broken.

like if a warlock main who’s struggled the whole expac only to be viable (broken) this season gets gladiator, but is humble about it then sure they can get respect. it’s not their fault their main got buffed to ridic levels.

what an excellent question.

Shadowlands glads that were achieved in the first half of the season when rating isn’t ultra inflated. Glass in the second half of the season are equivalent to 2k achieve

Hard disagree.

unchained and bfa s4

lmao my b my b

we’re in the first third of the season and there’s already 1100 gladiators so idk about this one

i don’t think there’s been a point in shadowlands where glad wasn’t “ultra inflated” unless you got it week 1-2

None of them, every season has rly bad people getting glad/r1 just have to be playing the right class at the right time, so titles mean nothing in this game.

I bet half of those are alts

The seasons I got glad are the only seasons that matter. The rest were just faceroll no skill fotm losers and I wasn’t playing seriously, subbed, or had partners so lmao idc. if ur not glad my seasons then you’re boosted (edit: or welfare)

Idk all of them? I have no glad, it was hard for me to get even 2000 in an “easy” season. So I respect the work people put in to get higher, no matter the season.

Too many “% seasons” where stupid stuff allowed people to get it for free to say that imo.

Yes but i am currently 2100 I’m 3s ranked like 4400 on arenamate put of 154000 active pvp-ers. So approximately 3%.

Duelist is kinda on par right now.

Currently 1300 over 2400, so that’s just under 1%

No one universally respects anything. Prior to modern glad you’ll hear ‘yeah but you got it on an easy battle group, people weren’t as good, etc.’ Today you hear inflation, comp, etc.

Glad might be free if you’re a 10 year arena vet with a social network or the kind of achievements that get you into groups with other players like you. For most of the playerbase hitting Glad right now is still a pretty big deal.

Think virtually every season has had “stupid stuff so you get it for free”. Difference is at least that nonsense was % based. Now it’s “stupid so you can get it for free and the number of people who can get it is unlimited”

It’s also account-wide, so you see an unreal amount of them running around oribos mid-late season.
