Which expansion is the best for Death Knight Role-Play?

I wanted to use this ending of the expansion to try leveling up an alt without any worries.

So, i decided on the Death Knight.
Which expansion would be the best fit for a DK RP?

I’m torn between Wrath of the Lich King, Legion and Shadowlands.

  • WOTLK for being basically the “birth” of the Knights of the Ebon Blade and the beginning of the journey for most Death Knights post-Third War.

  • Shadowlands for matching the “Death” theme of the Death Knights (Also the Xmogs are awersome)

  • And Legion for the Order Hall and its quests/characters and Artifacts.

Honestly, the three expansions are very tempting for the role-play I’m imagining, and I can’t choose which one to use for leveling up to 60.

Então, here’s the real question: Which of these expansions do you find most interesting for a Death Knight RP?

Wotlk or Legion

First, have you ever done the og DK quest line.

Yes, many times, back in the “original” days of Wotlk years ago. I never actually managed to level one up to the maximum level because I always liked their lore more than their gameplay…

But now I’m determined to do this with my Human Death Knight. I have ideas to fit him into my Warband RP, lol.

Legion > Wrath > Shadowlands. Shadowlands only if your a 4th generation DK.

SL has no dk specific character stuff if I recall. The story starts off from ice crown and then it becomes its own thing.

Wotlk is pretty good because the opening sequence was originally made to play into the wotlk content pretty quickly after a brief stint in Outland.

Legion hall stuff is solid.

I’d do wotlk → legion personally. Screw SL.

The Necrolord Sanctum is so geared towards DKs that it has it’s own Runeforge. It’s as tied to the class as Night Fae was to Druids.

Honestly, I’d say Legion.

The DK class campaign was one of the best, if not the best, out of all of them.

Plus, if you do it all and do the Broken Shore stuff, you get your class hall mount.

Oh, and the hidden artifact appearances and their colors, too.
