Which DK specc should I choose?

I haven’t played my Death Knight since WOTLK. I remember being Frost, but which specc should I choose now? Unholy seems a bit complicated. How about Blood?

Which does more DPS?

WHich is better in Battlegrounds?

Arena?

PvE?

if ya like chillin’ then frost.

Be sure ya keep some blood tank gear since ya won’t die most anywhere ya go, but ya will kill in slow motion.

Hmm seems like Frost use 1handed weapons. Do I dual wield 1 handed swords?

Yes, two 1 handers.

I used to love unholy because i liked having a pet around, but lately I have gravitated toward frost.

Is Blood specc viable for PvE and PvP? How much less is the DPS compared to Unholy and Frost?

Depends. Do you want to keep any pride or dignity? Then Unholy

If you hate yourself and the group you are with then Frost

Seems like Unholy is the general consensus favorite

Unholy is my fav, but i would recommend frost. Frost is far better than unholy in raid, and at the same level with unholy in m+.

Blood is a tank spec. If you don’t want to tank, roll unholy.

Nah, you should push Alt-F4 when creating your DK.

blood is great for when you don’t want to die to mob trains.

i haven’t tried unholy since before mists. my main quests in blood and does frost spec for dungeon finder stuff

Frost is good, but it’s also your generic builder/spender spec with some neat cooldowns that make it interesting.

Unholy is a little better, and unique. Not everyone’s cup of tea though. A lot of your damage comes from pets while the rest comes from dots and popping festering wounds.

reroll unholy feels terrible and total squish for plate wearer. If you don’t have that base haste of 22 percent it’s always waiting to use a move.

I prefer frost to unholy, mostly because I don’t like managing a pet on my dk. I’m not a big fan of having to dual-wield, but frost’s attacks feel more visceral than unholy.

tanks are very looked down upon in arena and typically arnt very good

unholy is one of the best specs in the arena meta atm
very very very overpowered

frost is awful

unholy is really good in m+ unsure about raids though frost might be better

overall frost has been pretty terrible in pve and pvp for all of bfa so far though
