Haven’t been playing retail other than for the past 1-2 weeks. Had to take a pretty long break due to my surgery i had. But i’am trying to pick out a class/ spec for SL and was seeing if i could get some input on which ones are looking solid going into it

Plate classes always have the best transmogs.
I would say every class look good except hunters. But even mail are getting some cool mogs in SL.
Most classes have some specs that play well. Even Monk has Brewmaster.
It’s really up to your personal taste in classes. Try and play some on PTR, see how the specs function at level 50. And take a look at the legendaries and Covenant spells to see how level 60 will change that up.

Shadowlands Beta, Ret Pally is hitting like a truck 
I’m considering swapping to a Rogue or even Feral druid for SL, because after watching videos on how they perform it seems like a lot more work went into them than the 2 hours of fixed Monks got.

I’m switching to DK. Frost and blood look good. Unholy is supposedly getting more gcd work. Bonus is one covenant is good for all 3 specs.

Rogues had hardly anything done to them lol. Just some minor tweaks here and there. The damage is just overtuned right now so expect a nerf in one of the upcoming builds.
Ranged DPS - Frost mage, Marksmanship Hunter, Destro Warlock, and Balance are all looking very good
Melee DPS - Arms warrior, UH DK, all 3 rogue specs, and WW monk all look promising.
Tanks are per usual - all are fine in most content but monk, paladin, and warr look a little better than the others
Healers: All look pretty good and fill their roles well, but if you want a guaranteed raid spot stick with holy paladin, druid, or priest. MW looks promising too, but less so… and resto shaman is, as usual, suffering from some nagging issues that may limit them in high end content.
Rogues still stealth, that’s as good as it gets.
Yeah, but if they don’t severely nerf rogues then they will be walking into SL with three very nice specs, all viable. No other class can say that right now.

Rogues will undoubtedly still be strong even after numbers tuning.
Every class spec looking good. Monks need some bugs worked out though.
Word on the street avoid shaman.

Yes, and I said that the nerf would have to be heavy in order to remove their viability. Rogues look to be very strong going into SL. Even if they delete sub again, there’s still two other specs that will remain very strong. One of the nice thing about being one of the three classes that are totally dedicated to their role.
