Hey guys! So I’m currently trying to decide between which of the 3 plate classes to main in the game. I like my characters to be bulky and wear plate which is how i come to these choices. Can you guys give me the pros and cons to these classes as in their kits like what they are good at and bad at etc, idc about fotm top charting bs ik that changes all the time.
Well first let me ask, are you planning on tanking, dpsing or both?
- Warriors will always be buffed.
- DKs will always be easy.
- Paladins will always never be the same. Expect to relearn a paladin every expansion and it’s a dice roll on whether or not you’ll be worth anything

I plan to dps mainly. might tank every now and then in dungeons if needed but prob hardly ever
Yeah, because there are still classes in the game that are complex, right? lol
Warrior then, its one of the few classes that wasnt heavily altered by the GCD changes. Fury is “fast” by current standards.
Paladin right now is flashy but feels like it cant deside if it wants to be a warrior with magical abilities or a melee range mage. Prot pally is very stable though and good for soloing.
Then take off dk, both dk specs are awful rn. Fury warrior is alright if you like a fairly simple rotation. Ret paladin is the good, again if you like a fairly simple rotation
keep in mind guys i said i didnt mind min maxing or fotm chasing im just asking the pros and cons of the classes kits so i can try to decide which one would be a better fit for me

Not as good with survivability. Very boring. And low dps.
Depends on what you want.
If you want to just focus on pure strength, Warrior. No magic, but at close range hardly anything comes close. Fury is especially fun for me.
DKs and Pallies mix spellcasting with damage, kinda a mixture of roles. A bit slower paced than Warriors, but are capable of holding their own.
Frost is 7 buttons total on a 3 button rotation. It doesn’t get easier than that. Just saying.
Warrior if you want to have fun.
Death Knight if you want to be cool.
Paladin If you want to make a mistake.

EDIT: Frost is meant to be the easy spec. It gives DK a bad rep as a whole.

Because it’s pretty easy. just make sure you spread your diseases and pop them, summon your minions, and you can attack to get wounds, really not that hard
Just go off of class fantasy then.
Do you want to charge into battle slicing your enemies with your pure strength? Warrior
Do you want to wield holy light as a protection and to shred your opponents? Paladin
Do you want to be an Undead badass who conjures frost, blood, and unholy magic? DK
This is too simplified and you know it. You clearly don’t know what you are talking about and it amuses me.
Pure fun factor I would go Warrior. Its the most immersive and least drama ridden (as you can see form the back and forth here). You race around the map and wail on everything like an unstoppable doom train. That and the procs are near constant at higher levels so there is very little downtime.
