Which class is easier to use? PVP

Shadow Priest or Mage for PVP
I know its about the more you know about the class the better but which one would you say is easier to pick up?

Shadow.

Just melt faces.

Shadow might actually be the #1 easiest pvp spec imo.

Go Paladin just to upset people when they try to kill you. Run around in circles, watch them try, rinse and repeat.

Though seriously, Shadow is super easy, even if super Mana dependant.

I’d give Shadow Priest a try. It’s really easy as far as DPS output goes. I’m no expert on rankings. I didn’t play on illegal servers so my knowledge is 15 years old. It could be more selective memory and nostalgia than current facts.

If I were to guess as pure PVP dps…S.Priest, Rogue and Mage.

A good Hunter can be very annoying, so can a fury warrior/healer team up.

Shadow Priest is 100% the most braindead spec for pvp. Not exaggerating I think you could beat people playing with your feet.

Just bind wand as a Spriest, nothing makes people rage more than dying to a wand…that run back to their corpse will be full of rage…

Brings a tear of joy to my eye…

They’re both easy, really.

As an undead Spriest just throw SWP and Devouring plague on a target and continually shield yourself and you can’t die

Or roll frost mage and Frostbolt Frostbolt Frostbolt Frostbolt Frostbolt Frostbolt Frostbolt Frostbolt Frostbolt Frostbolt Frostbolt Frostbolt Frostbolt Frostbolt Frostbolt.

Take your pick.

They are both easy. As a mage you’ll use about 6-8 spells. Shadow priest is even less. Both have very low skill floors

Sorry, im kinda new to wow but when does spriest start doing dmg? and when do I unlock spriest in classic? Am I better off going mage since i dont really wanna heal until spriest

You do damage at level 1 with smite. All talents start at level 10, including shadow. You can heal and cast shadow spells unless you are in shadow form (but that wont be till level 40)

Hmm I gotta research more about where spriest dmg comes from. My friend told me to play spriest hes gonna be a rogue. I just dont understand how spriest is doing so much dmg.

Mind flay, mind blast, shadow word pain. Those are your bread and butter.

So your saying spriest is putting up the same dmg as a mage around level 10 - 20? I won’t need gear or anything i thought i need gear for spriest to turn up? sorry, kinda new thanks for helping out Ephemere.

Shadow Priest because Mages need to stand still more to use their big hitters.

Does Spriest activate at level 40? Also, how long do you think it’ll take to get to 40 in classic?

Spriest is not the damage dealer it is now. Back then It was nothing possibly the worst dps, haste wasn’t a stackable factor. Hope you find the right wand Harry Potter. I was top 50 US and my damage output was really good but my theory crafting was special then  but the passive healing/mana battery aspect was better. PvP was so/so most melee would mangle me …pretty much why they added dispersion to spriests to give us a fighting chance in pvp years later.

You will get spells in all three talent trees as you level. Search for a priest talent calculator and see how you would want to spend you talent points when leveling. Mind flay is a dps spell that comes from a talent in the shadow tree, shadow form is the 31 pt shadow talent. Leveling and dps doesnt matter, its all relative. Dps wont really matter until endgame raiding or pvp. Everyone is in the same boat while leveling, upgrades come every few levels and from quests. Dont be super concerned about your gear while leveling, it will mostly be obsolete at 60 (there are a few exceptions)
