Which class in Vanilla has the best class fantasy?

The only experience I really have in vanilla 1-60 is warlock, and between all the class quests unlocking new demons/mounts and soul shards + awesome flavor spells like doomguard etc… It felt pretty awesome.

My first class was hunter and I didn’t get too far, but the relationship between pet seemed pretty cool and management etc…

The only other class I tried was druid, moonglade was cool but it always felt a bit like a watered down lock in terms of fantasy to me. No mount quests etc…

But druid has form quests =P Unfortunately the best one, flying form, didnt get added until TBC, that one had a cool quest with it.

Shaman is pretty good too IMO, with the totem quests.

Druids definitely have the best class fantasy, though they’re all pretty good. If you’re meaning “Which ones have the most class quests?” probably warrior.

Paladin is worth a shout

Divine Intervention is really a shining moment for class fantasy, AND big impact plays

Divine Shield (bubble) is hilariously famous as it embodies how Paladins 1. Never die, and 2. How cowardly we tend to be when we know its over lmao

Retribution Paladins work in extremely literal senses too – between talents like Eye for an Eye in pvp, and Reckoning talents (which kind of functions as a type of counterattack if jousting). These two mechanics really do feel like you absorb pressure, and in turn dispense retribution for the offense.

Blessings in general give great senses of “saving” allies – which is right up the paladin alley as well

Also +points for Pala swag fantasy in things like Charger mount questline, and +SP trinkets like TEP, ZHC, etc

This is one thing Vanilla did very well. I like Shaman, just because of the totem quests. Fun, stuffed with lore, globetrotting, and they give your character noticeably better abilities. Likewise, Druid and Warlock are good as well. Warrior stance quests are pretty simple, but we have armor quests and the Whirlwind Axe quest chain that are really good.

Yeah going with paladin too.

Also having a lot of the major content around the end be UD related then ending with Nax Paladin will feel VERY well settled in lore wise.

In vanilla it would be priest, warlock and pally.

Nelf druid. Might be because the alliance areas seem more polished than the horde side. But a NE Druid really pulls you in. Wish they would of continued with form/class quests past 16. But feels like they ran out of time and just ended them.

A Dire Bear class quest would of been fantastic.

Rogue. You really work your craft as a rogue. You have to skill up the different poisons. You have to practice your lock picking a lot in order to pick better locks. You have Ravenholdt Manor. Good times.

I would have to say druid, they literally have a zone dedicated to druids.
